OBS Studio Tutorial: Multiple Camera Sources (& filters)
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 22 мар 2020
- A tutorial showing how to add filters to multiple webcam sources in OBS Studio. It also works with streamlabs obs. A logitech C920 doesn't allow you to add it as a new source once you already added it once, this video shows you how to bypass that issue. Check the pinned comment in case someone comes up with a better solution.

Alternatively: put the camera in a group, then put the mask filter on the group. ;)
I used that technic, and it works first, but when you want to add a frame (image) to border the cam and include it in the group, the mask hides that frame. It even gets more complicated if you applied a cropping directly to the group to avoid the source modification.
@@romaraingames3993 add the frame as a differnt source and just dont put it in the group
oh my gosh! that's perfect!
Thank you
I just love when I find a perfect tutorial for my exact needs with clear and concise instructions! Thank you, great video!
Hi Gael LEVEL! I'm a new user of OBS and I have been trying to find the answer to this for hours!! Thank you sooo much for breaking this down. You were very thorough and edited the video well. So many other creators approached the content as if their only audience was pro users. Thank you for answering the question no one else was answering and doing it in a way that newbies like myself can completely understand. Loved it!!!
This is insane. I literally went insane last night because i saw this done and was disappointed cuz i heard it was impossible. Thank you so much for making this video. Subbed.
I cannot describe how useful are your tutorials! Big thanks!
Thank you so much for making this video. I am starting to stream and still working on my overlay via OBS and was not sure how to add in my camera source. This is so helpful so when I have my camera all set up, I can add it in!
Yes! I love the round cam. Can’t wait to change my stuff around. Thank you!!!!
Thank you that was driving me nuts! I appreciate that you took the time to specify the difference!
You made this really easy to understand, thank you. I will definitely be adding this knowledge to my streams
Homey, you just saved my sanity with this nearly-year-old video. Thank you so much!
Perfect. Exactly the solutions I was looking for. TY
This was extremely helpful. Thank you
THANK YOU!!! Finally, someone who explained this properly! This is how you do a tutorial video! Appreciate it, man!!! Legend.
Very helpful. Thanks for posting!
THANK YOU IVE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT FOR WEEKS this was so helpful and i appricate you so much
Great one! Thanks Gael !!
omg im totally new to streaming, so this helped SO much! it took me two hours trying to figure it out before i finally found your video. thanks!!
been living with this issue for 2 years thank you so much
God bless your soul. I was looking for a solution because if you set multiple camera from the same ("existing") source for, let's say, different angles/zoom, for example, when you reload OBS it resets all the hotkeys to be the same as the original source hotkeys. This allows you to bind hotkeys which is a freaking blessing. Thank you so much for this video.
Trying to work this out was driving me crazy, thank you for the video!
yo this actually was EXACTLY what i needed
I was going crazy with errors on my cam and filters and couldnt figure it out and you solved it!!! Thank you so much!
after stupid amounts of videos and forum threads I finally had it explained in detail that made sense THANK YOU!
You are amazing! You helped me a lot with this problem!
Oh this is amazing, definitely going to try this out
Great Tutorial! And Matt's comment also is helpful. Such a good community here.
Finally found a solution that works. Thank you for the simple explanation. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for this. I have really battled to get this to work
THANK YOU! I've been looking for a way to do it.
Super helpful tutorial!!!
Extremely helpful as usual 😎
Thanks a lot that really helped me. Very good video.
This was a lifesaver. Thanks so much dude!
Thank you tons! I just added a new overlay and was feeling frustrated trying to figure out how to getting separate settings for my game and intermission scenes.
I made one camera scene and used it as a source for my intermission and checked to see if it was different from my game scene (which was still set up in the normal way) and they did have separate settings. So it seems you can have 1 scene set up like normal and then use this method for any additional scenes that require different camera settings. At least it worked for me, but it's easy enough to test after you set up the first camera scene as a source.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! this will make my videos SO MUCH better!!
hey i recently started streaming and i was having an issue with this. so i just wanna say thanks so much for making this.
Excellent tutorial. Very clear, no waffle - like!
BEST TUTORIAL OF THE YEAR and awesome hair too.
Ughhh, thank you so freaking much man!! Struggled for a while
YOU!! my friend! have earned a sub, i spent hours trying to figure out away around this
Nested scenes - great idea! Probably one of the better features of OBS that one. I like to have 3 fullscreen cameras stacked so that if one is offline, another camera is underneath it also fullscreen. Backup camera.
omg thanks dude, I was loosing my cool trying to figure this out myself :D you're the best
Thanks, this is very helpful :]
New to Streamlabs so this video helped a ton thanks dude!
Excellent stuff !
You made my life simpler my friend!! Thank you!!!
thank you gael! helped me alot.
Great! This helped a lot. Thank you soooo much. Now if you could just fix ever other problem I have ;)
Looks like a brand new video but 3 yrs old. You solved 2 problems in one!
I think I ran multiple scenes and copying my camera either as reference or duplicate for a long time with no issues and recently my camera with mask and circle image started showing up broken, mask out of place or something.
1. I've also tried what you show here by making a camera scene but was just adding the scene as a source to other scenes instead of duplicating and renaming for different scenes. When I would make changes to the scenes it messed the others up.
2. The Circle Cam thing with mask and circle image was something I had to tear up RUclips to find before. You were not even explaining in here and I could see how it worked better than the small hand full of videos that focused only on that.
I'll check your other videos. Thank you!
The best tutorial ever on camera sources!
thank u so much for this video, simple and awesome
Perfect, solved the issue for me - thanks!
THANK YOU!!!!! this is exactly what i needed :)
Great. I had this problem and lost a lot of time trying to make it work. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for that hint!!! Great Video!
Great video. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
I found a trip up along the way I wanted to pass along.
1. Once you create the "Webcam" scene (that is the template for duplicate scenes) and insert the video source, do not use "Transform" on that scene. If you do, you will not be able to crop that or any other scene using that source. As in Alt-Click to crop the four sides of the video source. Just leave the "Webcam" scene alone as is and modify the duplicates as desired.
thank you so much, this was just the issue i was encountering
You are a genius sir! Thank you!
what you said didn't make complete sense it gave me the idea tho and then I messed around with it for an hour and finally got it, holyyyy

This is a great tip (as they all are) however I am looking to add a second webcam (its different than the main one I have used) so that when I live stream OBS will fade from one cam to the other. I have seen it done but unsure how to go about setting it up. any clue? Thanks!
great video!
THANK YOU KING
So what if all my cams are with a round filter and I now want to do square? Doesnt work, does it? I can add but not delete filters?
Can I ask your suggestions, regarding on the cameras that I can use, because I want to add another 2 cameras in my obs so that would be 3. Is it possible for me to do that? How will it be?
