- In this video, I share my journey to Coron Island in the Philippines. I was really schoked by Palawans prices. Ferry 2800, than Upon arrival, I was shocked by the price for environmental fee, than transportation, maybe it looks like im angry with a driver, but i was not, outraged a little bit 🤣🤭
Than again didn't breakfast and almost fainted from hunger, but a delicious Adobo chicken meal saved the day! And I was able to reach a beautiful hidden lake 😍
Coron Island turned out to be a more cozy and intimate experience compared to El Nido. The tours were less crowded, and the hospitality was unparalleled. One of the highlights was the food - every boat prepared meals right on board, which were incredibly tasty and made with so much heart. Dapat 50 pesos lang iyon the most. That is so wrong, when they take advantage of the tourists. They give they Filipino a bad reputation for not being honest. But, it happens every town that are flooded with tourists. It happens in Bangkok, Thailand too when my husband and I lived there for 3 years because of his job. It's not only the Filipinos but any tourists spot in the world, except Japan that I know. The Thai people are worst. Sila pa ang galit pag nabuko mo sila.
Yan mga Pilipinong mapag samantala hanggang ngayon di pa rin nagbabago. Magpasalamat kayo may mga tourist na nagbibigay ng hanap buhay sa inyo. Pag di pa kayo magbago at masira ang lugar nyo gutom aabutin nyo. Calling the LGU... gawan nyo ng solusyon ang bagay na yan...

Bargaining/haggling is normal here in the Philippines , whenever they charge you a high price, one of the technique i learn is go the a local store first buy something and you ask the local how much is the standard fare.

This time of the year even though it's summer, but starting June until October, it is rainy season. It is just you have a bad luck going to Coron, but it's voted #1 place to go for beautiful beaches. When we went to Coron in 2016, life jacket was not needed to swim in that lake. As the guy told you, someone drown in the middle of the lake. You should visit the twin lagoon too while you are in Coron. It's so beautiful!! Jelena, you should reach out to a German girl who moved to the Philippines with her husband and her kids permanently. She has a RUclips channel. Her name is Bella. She lives in Mindanao. Her husband is half Filipino and German too. You are more fluent in English than her. Jelena, we stayed at Two Seasons Resort when we went to Coron and found no problem. You have the whole beach island to yourself, but any great resort will cost you. You are staying in the city of Coron, not in the resort island of Coron. Another great resort is the Discovery Resort too.

I recommend Calauit Safari Park and Black Island package tour while you're still in Coron. You will enjoy the beach in Black Island with it's fine powdery white sand.

Jelena, no matter what activities you will do, please do not skip breakfast. Bring boiled eggs and chocolate bar in case you feel weak and tired especially on long walks.

😅😅 that wasn't my goal I just was truly surprised by this price . And before paid 200 pesos for entrance in coron. What probably was the most expensive environmental fee. I just was happy that I'm alone not with kids 😅 or I couldn't pay that
I notice many foreigners visit coron i think that place is gorgeous with many attractive scenery that's why the foreigners are attracted to go there if my impression were negative maybe it would depend on people after they experience the province of coron

Coron is expensive. I'm a local tourist and there's 5 of us in the trike. I paid 65 pesos for the same distance. I don't know how much the others paid.

Most tricycle driver there in coron take advantage when you are a foreigner , just negotiate the price if he don’t go down the price look other tricycle.
And the other tricycle will do the same as the first one.

Yan ang sakit ng Pilipino, mapag samantala. Pag nakakita ng foreigner, i jack up nya ang,presyo. Masama ito dahil kapareho lang natin mga dayuhan, gusto rin magtipid para kasya budget nila. Kaya ikaw Pilipino, charge ka lang ng tama para lalo dumami turista sa atin at diyan tayo nabubuhay sa pagpunta nila dito sa atin. Huwag swapang, ayaw ng Diyos yan.
Negotiate before you get in. Give them the price you think is fare.
Most filipino drivers tends to exploit foreign tourists cause they knew foreigners can really afford it. That's one of the bad filipino habbits. Just be aware not all of us are good, only few, most are opportunists.
Always bring BONAMINE tablet in your travels it can help avoiding dizziness. Always on the lookout of your belongings when you’re traveling.

Jelena, You should have set your expectations before making the trip to Palawan. Haha. You should have researched and read first, or should have had watched other vlogs for Palawan. Come to think as well why even us common Filipinos are not able to make it to the likes of Palawan and Baracay. Well, the mere fact is that prices and expenses are very high and expensive. We call the prices there as 'tourist's price'. Even us local are being charged a high price and expenses there. We call those people who are able to afford a vacation in those places as 'well offs' and 'wealthy'. So, it best to always check first so you won't be surprised and shocked. Hahaha. Then your expectation and agenda can be managed and handled well. For me, I like Palawan. I just don't like the expenses and tge prices there, period. Just saying. Sorry. Peace. 👍😂✌

Hi Jelena, I know you're sorry about the driver getting sanctioned by the local government of Coron. If I were in your situation, I would feel the same. But please don't take it too much. The driver was at fault, it was very clear that he was trying to overcharge you by 50 pesos. It's not the first time that a vlogger exposed the problem of drivers overcharging passengers. What you did to vlog your experience was just part of being a vlogger, and you know what, it is actually a blessing in disguise. You are bringing a good change, and being an inspiration for the Philippines. Thank you for helping our country become better. You actually contributed to an improvement among those tricycle drivers so they will be transparent and truthful from now on. You helped future passengers to not get victimized by the overcharging scheme. The driver may be kind, but he still tried to overcharge you. That's a lesson learned not only for him but also for other service providers. Dont worry too much about the fine and 2-week suspension. The penalty will not last forever, it's only a punishment for 2 weeks and some loss, but life always moves on. And there's a good reason why it happened. The video was actually a blessing in disguise. The driver becomes a better public service provider, and other drivers will be more disciplined next time. I thank you for being real. For contributing to the country's betterment. This is not just our country, you treat our country as your own, with love and care. Thank you and please continue vlogging! But don't be too apologetic. Don't take it on you. You tried to save the driver by pleading with the Coron LGU. Now, it's up with the Coron LGU if they will listen as they deemed the driver guilty of attempting to overcharge a passenger. But I wish they can be more humane, and be considerate to forgive the driver as per your appeal.

coz they tough the all tourest has lot of money the wrong way of thingking but only few of them we told the that not good for the tourest we tolld them to nicely the tourest coz the turest give them a job by requesting them to deferent destanation in our we educate them.
