Aside from the story of the video (which I thought was great), I just wanted to say that the shots and production of this video looked absolutely amazing - hdr looks stunning and the shot composition, exposure, and focus are spot on imho!
Man, your style evolved in such a great way. Was watching you from the days of GH5 and Sigma 18-35, thank you for many tips along the way. The footage is just beautiful!
Loving your videos. I found this vlog format easier to watch than beauty shots straight for couple of minutes. Diversity in content is good in my opinion as well as changes. Keep it up😊
Shocked!! I watch your videos all the time and just realised I haven't sub'd. I love your channel so much and are probably one of my inspirations for starting my RUclips Journey. Thank you for you d and do find the time to take breaks and have fun. you deserve it for all your hardwork
Great video! The Timelapses were awesome 😍 And love to see (or not see haha) the area around Phu Chi Fa. We want to go there on our next trip to Thailand 🇹🇭 And the verdict is true! Excited about the next videos ☺️
Perhaps do mention what gear you've chosen and why. Sometimes settings too. It's not always the gear review but why one chooses a given tool for the goal. That's different than a gear review but a choice for purpose.
Story telling. It's all about good story telling. I start my journey this winter. 209 followers, so only way is up. My focus is "find & shoot good stories" and forget photography. RUclips is not the platform for stills. How I see it.
Honestly, it mostly comes from the shots itself. The rest is just as I usually color grade. The blue in the mist comes from my LUTs (DepthScape). I will make some tutorials on HDR color grading soon as that’s a bit special.
@@pascalbasel ohhh I see. So you underexpose a lot then? The opposite of ETTR? Haha. I’ll experiment. I always want this look but my footage look so bright and washed out by RUclips 🤷🏾♀️
@@marlenelandstravels No, I expose so that it looks good on the screen probably 95% of the time. And of course, everything in LOG with view assist/LUT turned on. You can use ETTR, but then you have to bring the exposure down in the color grade.
Tell me one thing....to do cinematic videos which one better iphone or action camera or big cameras? Which is better and what camera do we need to use ? Budget
@@clausstahl5413 I still have the X-S20 as well but only use it occasionally. I must say that as I mostly use the 35mm 1.4 with breathing compensation (adds a small crop), shooting the X-H2s with 27mm 1.2 would look very similar. Overall I'd say Sony is the best right now but they are all pretty good.

Love the way you shoot your videos. I noticed role of third and other compositions, I learned a lot from your videos. love from Chitral.
Very nice video to watch Pascal, keep up the good work!
Richtig richtig gut mein Freund.
Beeindrucken, die Steigerung miterleben zu dürfen ;-)
sehr nice shots mal wieder! und die story sowieso. hobby zum beruf machen ist schon cool, wie du sagst, aber ja, ein ausgleich braucht man trotzdem.
Definitv 👍🏻

Well done again
Great video & mood
More vlog-style videos 🙌
Okay, brother ;-)
Epic video, would love a tutorial on how to achieve this darker/moody type colour grading

@@pascalbaselok thanks. I’ll test on my next shot. Super nice colours 😊

Big cameras, on a budget either Fuji X-S20, Sony a6700, a7Cii, or Panasonic S5ii.
Hey Pascal, what camera and lense did you use on that trip
Hi Claus, that’s a9iii, a7cii and a few a6700 shots. Mostly 35mm 1.4 GM and 16-35 GM II.
So back again to Sony? I am still with fuji but I save money to switch to sony 😂

Just start advertising unneeded video gear everyone needs to buy to become a RUclipsr , like everyone else… 😂
Love watching your video it’s so amazing
