Thank you to Tom. This is my all-time favorite song, I'm so happy to see a new reaction to it. I think the title is not about the past relationship (sad/happy memories) but is about making a promise to be there for the ex-partner in the future. "If you ever need holding, and no holding back, I'll see you through... sky blue (good weather/good days) and black (the bad days)." Being there for someone through the sun and the rain. It's almost like saying wedding vows to someone even though you are no longer in a relationship with them. Really powerful lyrics, this song means so much to me. Thank you for the reaction.
