This case has turned into an absolute circus with wild theories left, right and centre. Whatever the outcome I hope he's found and some actual truth of what happened comes to light. I’m wondering whether they ever really went for a holiday. I’m starting to think they went to sell/work at the festival, that would have been a big money maker for them but then something happened with the stash. Just seems too sketchy to have gone with the intention of a simple holiday

These Islands are different, all the locals stick together, the majority hates foreigners. I live on one of them. If you get in trouble in the night club areas with locals, dont even think the police would help you. The night club bouncers take care of that themselves. I guess its something to do with drugs, either he stole something of the wrong people(Drug dealers) or he messed up something with drugs involved. He played the wrong guys. I wouldn't be surprised if the police also had something to do with drugs. They dont earn alot, would be easy money for them. So I think he fled, or hes swimming with the fishes, which is more possible in my opinion

My own family had someone run away due to drug debts. And they were no contact for 8+ years, presumed dead. The idea that jay would t do this to his mother doesnt ring true to me since i know someone who felt it necessary to avoid their entire family due to criminal activity
Same. I knew a guy in his 30s that was scammed out of his savings and told if he went to police, they would target his younger sibling and so he just vanished and went to live in caves off Wales. We knew becos he wrote to his Father a few times, giving bits of information but without going into details, but poor guy suffered major depression put of anti-depressants and ballooned in weight the one time we see him at a funeral. Interestingly, the scammer was a Taurus star sign. Jay was a Taurus. I also got scammed out of money by a Taurus. A Taurus criminal is not a nice person, no mercy spared type.

I was in Tenerife the same time as jay, a few of my mates were on the strip Sunday night/Monday morning, not sure what time but there was a big fight, a lot of people would have seen this, two of my mates who tried filming this had their phones knocked/taken out of their hands and smashed on the floor,a few big lads there weren’t letting anyone film, don’t know if this is connected but I’m surprised I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere?

So many questions have not been asked: why were guys with long standing business engagements on the Island staying at a remote AirBnB far from their business - they were using a hire car as well - does this mean they had something special in hand? If there was a watch did Jay know about AP watches or was his attention drawn to it - if he did know then surely he would not have been daft enough to nick one unless he was the Pink Panther? Did Lucy know about the watch and were his mates going to get a cut on the sale of it? Were Jay's phone contacts really code for his mates and not the simple content? I mean if they were all in on something the meaning of his messages is completely different from the surface appearance. How does the GoFundMe work? Who has access to that money and who can control how is it disbursed?
I can see that if he is in hiding or being held then the authorities do not want to panic anyone holding him or helping him. When people on the Island are told not to talk does this mean the media or to the police? In addition the police in Tenerife must surely recall the appalling way the British establishment castigated the Portuguese police in the McCann affair. I think I am going to stop thinking about this altogether now. Really it is none of my business and stuff like this happens every day and perhaps I should really be more concerned about the Middle East and imminent chaos in the US.

What twist and turns. Jay went to a music festival in Playas, he then went to an Airbnb in Masca and then he left the Airbnb at around 8 o’clock in the morning, started walking up hill via road for at least 15mins then left the road at some point, into a national park. At some point after this he disappeared. The factual narrative hasn’t changed and there certainly hasn’t been any new information given by the Spanish police or Jays family. So please explain to me what are the twists and turns here. I think people would do well to remember that speculation is not fact and theory is only relevant once it can be proven as fact. As of this moment there are no twists and turns whatsoever with this case. That’s not to say there won’t be, I just think people need to reel it in a little and hold tight for the answers to come.

Is the owner of the Airbnb reliable/as innocent as she is being portrayed?
If it is to do with a local n wellknown "big man", then they usually only get such stature with corruption.
Therefore, if there is some police corruption, who is to say the Airbnb owner isn't also involved more than media know/hasn't been paid to give her witness statement?

I've been saying the following for a lil while now, hence copied n pasted lol....
I believe this all comes down to the watch and who it was stolen from. He was lured to the Airbnb "to continue partying" but in reality he was taken there ready for a serious respect lesson to be taught for stealing the watch, later that day once others/back-up arrived at Airbnb. Once Jay etc got there, it's been reported how he was given towel etc n was told to go get charger from bedroom where the "friend" was sleeping....so the only partying that was going to go on was in dreamworld. I think the "friend" has close connection to watch owner (which would explain the secrecy over their identity), and this became apparent when Jay took "friends" phone off charge (background photo/message preview etc). This would mean he didn't charge his phone, and why he left abruptly n too scared to return. Food, water n prob a charger was available at cafe next to Airbnb, but he chose to flee...not just stroll away down road where he coulda flagged bus down on way back to town. I sadly then think he was found by "friend" (after being woken by door for car to be moved, then hearing Jay turning down the lift etc) and lesson has/was/is being taught....and if he is still alive, maybe even being forced to be a mule. People do not just get away with/let off for stealing/disrespecting/taking advantage of someone that's a "big deal", there will always always always be consequences. So far, I've not seen anything that goes against this theory, instead everything "fits" with this speculation I'm making....incl Mum begging to let him go on TV, why bar staff have apparently been "advised" not to make any comments (for fear of what'll happen to the establishments), and even could be why there appears to be a lack of progress being made by various officials. He was being a typical idiotic naive kid thinking he could get away with doing whatever he wanted while acting bigman on first holiday, encouraged no doubt by his other stupid mates, and now they are all learning their lesson through Jay the hard way.

The guy who was chatting we didn’t see any faces said his cousin was a worker of the strip and jay has been seen few weeks back. He also said it WASN’T a ROLEX, jay is very scared but they’ve all been threatened not to speak to police or anyone or their jobs and accommodation will be no more like you said.
