+twotailedavenger No, its the same excuse all TV shows use. Stretching things out to milk things for all they are worth to fill up a timeslot. DBZ over did it to the extreme in many cases with the still shot gasping. Usually shows with long episodes like ones that are an hour long or multiparts are actually gutting the episode rather than stretching it out. Except something like Doctor Who series 9. All the two parters should have been 1 single episode, they just stuffed it with pointless running around so they could wedge a cliffhanger ending and 'surprise' (That wasnt really a surprise) for the followup episode.

The only reason Final Flash didn't completely incinerate Cell is because the writers wanted Gohan to be the hero.... there's no other reasonable explanation.

No it's not. They replaced the score due to allegations that Kenji Yamamoto was plagiarizing songs from other western bands so Toei did away with the original score of DBZ and used a replacement one for Kai.
