I don't like black Americans because I've heard too many saying Africans are not black.
Sometimes they'll say, "you're not black black", whatever that means...
No I know, it means they want to separate black Americans from Africans, and I'd assume it was caused by something like wanting to be called Americans instead of African Americans if it wasn't for the undertone of condescension towards Africans and Africans not being "really black, not like us".

I rented rooms in my home to college students. One year, I rented to two young men from Africa. I wasn't aware they were from the same country until they were moving in. When the mother of one saw the other young man, the look of hate in her eyes shocked me. She said to him with venom in her voice, "You are xyz (referring to his tribe)." He replied, "Yes, and you are abc (tribe)."
Although they were from the same country, and the same color, they absolutely did not regard each other as "brothers/sisters" as implied by the man in the video.
I thought I would have tribal war in my home and so have a talk with the young men. They both were open to learning from each other and about their different tribes. They became friends, to the chagrin of their families.

Perhaps you're not aware but there are other countries in Africa where many of their citizens don't feel that black Americans are their equals. I know many Africans and have heard them say awful prejudice things about black Americans. It's very ugly and right on pace with racist type of hate but obviously the race is the same. That's why he was specifically speaking of Zambia and their culture. He's trying to drive the point home that unlike other African cultures, Zambians don't look down on black Americans.

But we all go back to Adam and Eve and most recently to Noah and his wife, so we are all one race: the human race. There is no "white man", there is no "black man", just humans with different amounts of skin pigment. A dark person and the light person can be brothers as it is genetically possible. Repent and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
"For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of GOD." (Romans 3:23)
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of GOD is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
"But GOD demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
"Jesus said to him, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6)
"For GOD so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For GOD did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned. But he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of GOD. This is the verdict, that light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that it may be revealed that his deeds have been done in GOD.” (John 3:16‭-‬21)
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with GOD, and the Word was GOD. He was in the beginning with GOD. All things were created through Him, and without Him nothing was created that was created. In Him was life, and the life was the light of mankind. The light shines in darkness, but the darkness has not overcome it. The true Light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was created through Him, yet the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own people did not receive Him. Yet to all who received Him, He gave the power to become sons of GOD, to those who believed in His name, who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of GOD. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, the glory as the only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:1‭-‬5‭, ‬9‭-‬14)
"For the wrath of GOD is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of GOD is manifest in them, for GOD has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew GOD, they did not glorify Him as GOD, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible GOD into an image made like corruptible man-and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore GOD also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of GOD for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason GOD gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain GOD in their knowledge, GOD gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of GOD, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of GOD, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them." (Romans 1:18‭-‬32)
"For they willingly ignore that, by the word of GOD the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed standing out of the water and in the water, by which the world that then existed was flooded with water and perished. But by the same word, the heavens and the earth that now exist are being reserved for fire, kept for the Day of Judgment and destruction of the ungodly. The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness. But He is patient with us, because He does not want any to perish, but all to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat. The earth also and the works that are in it will be burned up. Seeing then that all these things are to be destroyed, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, while you are waiting for and desiring the coming of the day of GOD, in which the heavens will be destroyed by fire and the elements will be consumed by intense heat?" (2 Peter 3:5-7, 9‭-‬12)
"But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart.” This is the word of faith that we preach: that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved, for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be ashamed.” (Romans 10:8‭-‬11)
"After John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the gospel.” (Mark 1:14‭-‬15)
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me. For I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28‭-‬30)

To explain slave mindset - playing the victim. Allowing white people to dictate how we live, who we vote for, what qualifies us as black or calling others of our race who excel a sell out an oreo. That is slave mentality, being owned completely by the democrat party and bowing to their every whim and demand. Then attacking any other of our race who thinks for themselves and strives to excel. Allowing ourselves to live in ghettos and depending on handouts from the whites.
African Immigrants to the US are in the top 5 of all first generation success stories. Nigerians actually out do Chinese in academic, financial and societal success. They are Black just like us, so why do they excel when the vast majority of us are stuck in poverty? Because we allow the white man to dictate to us and bow and scape for handouts.
Want the secret on how to change all that? First stop voting for democrats until they actually do something for our community. Second demand good schools in our neighborhoods. End the thug culture and non stop disrespect to each other in language and behavior. She is not a thot or a ho, she is a sister. He is not a N****r he is a brother. Have men marry the woman he has a child with. Have women learn to stay with one man like our great grandparents did. I have met a few black people from Rwanda and Ghana, and most of them view black Americans as stupid and wasting the opportunity they now have in this country. They told me about real struggle in Africa. They do like some of the hip-hop style, black athletes, and other "African" American entertainment, but they believe that the violence and toxic culture in America's inner cities/ghettos hurts their image when they come to American. Lots of times they will clarify that they are from Africa.

Like some Africans I cannot understand how Black Americans are unable to improve their situation by education and seizing opportunity. I am a black British guy and as a student I worked a menial part-time job to support and finance my studies in London with a Ugandan guy 30 years ago. He didn’t initially respect me and made fun of my Afro Caribbean heritage until I told him of my academic and career ambitions. He wanted to know how an LED worked and I gave him a lecture with a white board and markers in the sorting office of the courier firm where we worked. When I explained to him the Einstein relations in Semiconductor PN junction physics. Being a post-graduate student himself he stfu and from then on always addressed me respectfully. I told him I come from a dirt poor family lived and tolerated serious adversity with the racist British society of the 1960s, 70s, and 80s when my parents arrived in the U.K. with the Windrush generation. Today I’m a successful consultant engineer with university higher degrees and and international reputation in the microchip industry. Doesn’t matter what colour your skin, racism is still everywhere, to larger or lesser extent. You’ve just got man up, stand up, and stay upright for your people. The future generations need shoulders of giants to stand on, we need to work hard to be those shoulders, period.

We black Americans are brilliant, resilient, successful, and beautiful people. I dislike when other black foreigners try to say the same lies about us. We’re not lazy. We built this country. We have the most copied culture in the entire world. So stop with the negative stereotype. In America 🇺🇸 yt people are doing the same as blacks but no one seems to acknowledge that. Most black Americans are successful. Most of the criminal class blacks are foreigners like yourself. This is why we black Americans have to delineate.

Regardless of who created it ma'am, it is still being taught and emphasized by many American families today. It is one thing to love your heritage and culture, but another to teach reverse prejudice and hatred. The hypocrisy of it all is quite frustrating. I once taught at a private school serving primarily African American students (not that I cared). I was the only "white" teacher to just about everyone there. I heard that phrase quite often. Not to mention, I am half Native Hawaiian. But I guess to some, if you are not black you are "European or white 🫤". Matter of fact, during our open house a man met me for a moment. I was polite and spoke to him in a genuine manner. Next thing I know, he was in the principal's office wanting his son to be moved to another class. After the year ended our principal accidentally let it slip that it was because I was the "white" teacher. I will never forget that the same man who complained about my ethnicity approached me at the end of the year and said his son loved me and always spoke of me. I did love his son, very much. When I looked at him I did not see a black boy. I saw a kind boy, who loved to learn and made me laugh every single day. However, his father almost took that opportunity away because he saw that I was "white"! So ma'am, I'm not so concerned with who started it, but rather why we ALL are guilty of continuing it. The honest truth is we need to hold ourselves accountable and teach our children that they are much more than the color of their skin. We need to build loving relationships and show them that all people are deserving of respect and love.

Did you not hear the part where he said whites were the only ones that look at African Americans differently, or how another commenter said Europeans invented the idea of race. It must not have even crossed your mind. They single handedly placed an entire group of people into one fish bowl and assumed that they are ALL prejudiced or biased towards another. Clearly you did not read my comments in its entirety. I could honestly care less where a person is from, what color their skin is, or what language they speak. I accept everyone. It is their character that I am concerned with. However, some people put their culture as such a priority that it becomes an idol in their lives. It seems to divide them from other people. I love my family and I am proud of who/ where I come from. But, that is not the first thing that comes to mind about myself. I value the things that can only be seen in the Spirit of a person. Things such as kindness, honesty, a love for others (unconditional), etc. My problem is that in America (especially) we are regressing back into a very prejudiced environment. It honestly irks my nerves when it is always the "white" man as the culprit. I have been discriminated against many times by people of African American descent. My question to you is where is the fairness is all of that? If it is ALWAYS the WHITE MAN's fault then what reason did I have to be looked at and treated like I didn't belong. As I said before, I was called the "white" teacher more times than I can count. People did not want me to teach their children, even though they didn't know me. What they knew, was the color of my skin, and they did not like it. I may have had a few bad experiences, but I have also had countless great ones. Therefore, I will not do what so many including this man have done. I will not label the entire African American race as anything. I will do as I was taught. I will open my heart to others (no matter where they come from or what they look like), I will treat them as I would want to be treated, and I will see EVERYONE as equals.

"Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me." (Matthew 16:24)

See..my dad is from Liberia right, and my mother is African American. My dad remarried and his current wife is also Liberian. Now when we’d go to visit him (my siblings and I) on the weekends, we were always referred to as “those American kids” and laughed at because we didn’t eat traditional foods, wear traditional clothes or speak our native tongue. I’m not saying all people from Africa are like this but it’s hard when your own family doesn’t accept you. I was always “too American” for my dad’s side and then at school I was a from a “tribe” solely because of my last name. I’m now 21 and I tried to do my digging into my family ties but again, I was just “an American” when I asked questions and I’d never “truly” understand anything because I wasn’t born to two African parents….can’t win for losing I guess 😪

As an African, why is this man speaking for me and how does he know my opinions???
I don't like black Americans because I've heard too many saying Africans are not black.
Sometimes they'll say, "you're not black black", whatever that means...
No I know, it means they want to separate black Americans from Africans, and I'd assume it was caused by something like wanting to be called Americans instead of African Americans if it wasn't for the undertone of condescension towards Africans and Africans not being "really black, not like us".

I am an AFRICAN American because that’s where the blood of my ancestors came from and its runs through me still. How dare you devalue any people let alone those that look like you. I have been to the mother land twice and have been welcomed i could never generalize a whole group of people without knowledge of self or them.
