Alberto da Giussano, lead ship of 4 Giussano-Class Light Cruisers.
She was laid down 29th March 1928 by ship builder Ansaldo, she was commissioned on 1st January 1931.
Most of her peacetime activities were patrols including serving during the spainish civil War.
Along with her sister ship Alberico da Barbiano she take part in the battle of Punto Stilo in July 1940
She would be sunk on 13th December 1941 during the battle of Cape Bon after being stuck by 3 torpedoes from allied destroyers.
283 of her 720 crew would be lost
Her sisters would also not survive the war.
Alberico da Barbiano would also be lost during the battle of Cape bon on 13th December 1941.
Bartolomeo Colleoni would be lost during the battle of Cape Spada on 19th July 1940
Giovanni delle Bande Nere would be sunk off Stormboli on 1st April 1942 by submarine HMS Urge.

I'm so glad you're giving these ships a chance. I feel like they got a lot of hate from people who played them wrong. Personally it is my favourite line in the entire game.
These ships originally released without the things that make them unique so most wrote them off as bad but now that they have smoke and SAP it has changed them
Italian cruisers start getting really spicy at Tier 5. Trento is a lot of fun. Them 203mm guns are NASTY and when you combine that with your very good agility and smokes, it makes and overall fun experience.

These ships are tough to play.
Speed concealment and agility are the main focus.
They can kite well but that reload takes them out of any ship v ship combat. you will get smoked (sunk)
I use them as flank spotters. just be a distraction.
The Duca is the best this line has to offer. IMO
Spartan, the pronunciation for the torpedo launcher for the Italian ships is “Tu-bo Lan-chia-see-loo-ri”.
In order to simplify it, the Guissano was a cruiser built for the almost sole purpose of countering French Destroyers and Light Cruisers.
And in the end I don’t think they ever went against French ships they saw battle against British and American forces. 😂

These series just don't do well on my channel tbh
The Italian ships are like Ferraris or Lamborghinis when it comes to speed.
As an italian, I’m glad you’re going to butcher italian 😂 It will be fun. Anyway, “tubo lanciasiluri” literally means “torpedo launcher tube” (siluri=torpes, lanciare=to lauch)
Yeah the language is beautiful and since it is largely rooted in Latin it actually is pretty easy "mostly" to understand the meanings of the words but the pronunciation is a whole other problem
@@SpartanElite43 it actually isn't that hard if you consider that it's a "mute" language (meaning that each vowel can be pronounced in only one way, so there aren't sounds generated by combination of vowels like in english). Nevertheless, I understand it being quite difficult to get into for a native english speaker.
Thanks for starting this path to this is a line that I’ve wanted to go down but haven’t very much these Italian cruisers are very difficult to play at times the reload is way too long on them

I put on my Italian cruisers the agile build, as the detectability is low enough that I can use agility. Range is meh, but the speed and agility make for it, IMO

Looking at you having tunnel vision, I wanna ask… how well would GZ work as a battle carrier in Legends? By that I mean following a couple of allies who can easily kill other ships because they are tunnel visioned on me? Would the GZ armor hold up for that?
Wouldn't recommend it in Legends.. the ship just doesn't have the defensive capabilities as on PC.. it's a meme ship that had the meme stripped from it coming to console unfortunately

Not at all no matter what you would have done you would have died period for one that iwaki was pretty good at landing his shots for two you were way too low to fight anyone even if you would have got a Deathstike It would have been quite difficult as that guy was maneuvering quite well as you can see he was no amateur plus a 15s reload time vs a 6s you were done the moment that battle began but you did really good gg
Yeah but I still think I could've won based on the AP alpha strike we'd already seen on one iwaki

Anything that increases main gun damage

@Manny Del Toro I think BBs are the worst class mainly because they get absolutely bullied and countered by every class. However keep in mind that I did say in video numerous times that you can still occasionally have good games in BBs. It's just a lot harder in the current climate with all the HE slinging cruisers, stealth torping DDs, and CVs. Like my most played ship is my Massachusetts 😅 You can still occasionally have a good time in BBs when the game allows it.
My frustration salutes your frustration, friend. Amazing game but your team very sucks.
At this low of tier I expect them to suck so I don't even get upset.
That loss was on me... I definitely could've have won and gotten 7 kills
