    Beautiful counter, well done. I personally wouldn't eliminate the burners, but going to the Greystone 2 burner would be nice.

      Thank you! We really like the mod. Agree that the 2 burner is a better option for most people. Think Rockwood has gone to the oven being standard in the last few years so will be curious if they start looking at a 2 burner option.

    As someone preparing to buy, I would want your RV MORE because of the mods you've made. Partly because they just look really nice, partly because it makes it unique, and partly because your RV has personality because of the mods. Plus...the quality of your work would indicate to me that you've taken extra good care of the RV, making it more desirable to me if I wanted to buy a used unit. Extra points for the fact that any buyer can scroll back through your play list and see everything you've done and HOW you did it. I think your mods boosted the value, not reduced it.

      Awww - thank you :). We try and make our mods either look factory or be ones that people could easily undo. So appreciate your comment :). Also -
      We are out on a short trip and we left your stick in an envelope on the table lol.
      Will pop in the mail as soon as we are back :).

    My second watch....love this. I already told my husband I had no intentions of using the cooktop a 3 burner original. I have used since 2008 a single burner stove and also do have a coleman double burner gas stove too that folds up. But have never used that. I find one burner has worked for years now when I'm on my own or with others up to 4 even. So I can keep the single burner in a drawer and it has a new microwave installed by the previous owner. I'm most interested in your pop up electric outlet center. NOW that caught my eye and definitely going to keep that in mind for a future study. Like you if I remove anything like the cook top of course I'll pack it away wrapped to protect if a buyer ever wanted it. I already had ideas how to place a counter top over the cook top but I can see advantages to removing it all together. I'd gain a lot of counter space this RV is low on. Which is why I was thinking about building a counter right up and over the burners and their metal cover. Love your video's and the simplistic break down on how to do it and approach it.

      Thank you again for watching! And glad you found some ideas for your own camper :). We also rarely use more than one burner - even at home! So it has worked out great for us. We just spent another week in it last month and didnt miss those burners at all. And the pop up is working great. We make coffee every morning and use our little Dash mini grill/griddle to make breakfast sandwiches. Plenty of room and a lot less cleanup. Would love to see pictures if you make some changes! Thanks again!!

      Hi Lee! Yeah - the oven is a nice feature for boondocking and the stove top is much nicer than the one we had. It was rickety, pans didn’t stay level on it and it had two settings - off and on 😂. So we do not miss it. And we love the new outlet! Thanks for watching!

    You may remember that we are cold weather campers in the mountain West and high desert. We have yet to use our outdoor cooker, cooking only at night after climbing all day. So we still need our stove. But your new set up looks beautiful, and perfect for your needs.

      Hi Dineen! Yes - I do remember you mentioning that :). And agree - being able to cook inside after dark is definitely a benefit. And imagine you are in remote areas at times so not as easy to grab takeout! That is why we love camping - so many options and ways to enjoy the outdoors :). We are a bit jealous of the way you do it - sounds like an amazing time!

    So I was thinking about removing the indoor stove, but I remembered what we use it for. We often need to run the stove, to fill the propane lines, to get the fridge to light.

    • @WinesPinesandCanines
      @WinesPinesandCanines  Год назад

      Have heard others doing that as well. We never had a problem with the fridge luckily. Wonder if running the heater or hot water heater would do the same? May look into this to do some research!

    The kitchen redesign looks amazing! I really like it without the stove and you have so many options and that induction is going to really come in handy. Also I think for resale people would prefer what you did over the original layout.

    Hi Troy and Linda - congrats on your channel - fun and tons of valuable information. I truly appreciate the time and effort you're taking in sharing your journey outdoors with your viewers. The work you've done on your kitchen is simply stunning. Will be interesting to know if you miss propane stove over your future trips - with Blackstone and induction cooktop, I'm thinking you'll be enjoying your extra counter space and not look back. Apologies for the following as it's a different topic - one that you covered over a year ago... My wife and I just purchased a TT and can't wait for the start of our season in April (we're up North in Quebec, Canada). I want to do a full season and then some before I make the move to Lithium and was wondering how your US Battery 145Ah faired out before you made the switch to LiFePO4. The type of camping we're doing will mostly be w/ electrical hookups (National Parks, Provincial Parks), but we do intend to dry camp on sites where electrical is not available. A typical stay for us being a long 3-4 days weekend. I believe 145Ah will be sufficient if we're frugal about our consumption. Our camper is a 22ft Micro Minnie 2108TB with similar functionality than yours - slide out, jack, etc. No inverter, I'll be using a portable power station for my 110V equipment when boondocking We do have 190W of solar on the roof and intend to purchase a foldable 200W panel that I'll connect on the side. Appreciate any feedback and long live Wines, Pines and Canines.

      Hi! First - thank you for watching and the support! We do like our kitchen - on a trip right now and haven’t missed the stove at all.
      Ok - so we still have that US Battery. We use it at the storage unit instead of our lithium as no one is walking off with that 85lb brick! Do you currently have it in the camper? Or are you looking to buy?
      And would it be possible to email us at winespinescanines@gmail.com? We can talk about the battery and we love Quebec. Have camped in the past and are planning a trip back this summer if Desi is well enough. So would love to get your go to places!
      Our internet is a little spotty where we are so will respond as soon as we can!
      Thanks again!

    The countertop looks great, and yes, the pop up would be our favorite too. Sink looks great. Like the black blinds. Everything looks so homie. You're going to love all that extra counterspace. At first I thought this mod would not work for us, but I love what you do so I was excited to see the next step! I was concerned that the sink was going to be too far back, but in the reveal it looks perfectly placed! Your kitchen looks awesome! I already have the popup outlet in my model, however, it got me thinking. There has been this issue with houses with gas ranges versus electric. Almost everyone agrees that an induction cooktop is the best of all worlds. That being said, I could never see my husband, or I needing to use more than one burner! So now I would really like to try this mod! Lord knows we could use the extra prep space, obviously. We don't have enough experience to know if we like our sink. You really got me thinking. Currently the camper is still covered in snow, but it is getting warmer, and I am getting antsy. Great video! Peace.

    • @WinesPinesandCanines
      @WinesPinesandCanines  Год назад

      Hi! Sorry to hear the camper is still under snow. We are seeing temps close to 80 this week and it is making us forget it is still winter!
      Glad you liked it and it has you thinking! That is one of the things we love about owning a camper - projects that make it ours lol. We have been wanting to do a wood top with no stove since we first bought our Class C 6 years ago. We never use that stove so we were excited to finally do it! We love the extra prep space. Can do all of that easily inside and just do the cooking outside. Plus keeps the inside cleaner!
      The sink placement actually has a benefit - being a bit further back may allow us to modify that pull down drawer for extra storage. Will see how that goes!
      And inductions are definitely becoming more popular. Recently toured a camper that was all electric - no gas at all! Powered by a bigger inverter and battery bank. It had a 2 burner induction in the counter. But we like being able to tuck it away or take it outside.
      Take care and hope that snow melts soon!

      Hi - thanks for watching! So if we had brought the drain forward we would have had to cut into the drawer and likely lose about half of the storage space in it. We decided would rather have the storage 😂!

    Thank so much

    • @WinesPinesandCanines
      @WinesPinesandCanines  Год назад

      Hi! We have a link in the description but we mention in the video that we don’t think it would work with the original set up. The drain is centered and would require modifying drains/drawer with the original counter. We had to push it back 3 inches in the new countertop to work.
      If you are looking to replace the much smaller sink in an older model, have heard of some owners being able to order direct from Forest River.
      Thanks for watching!

    Did you put silicone under the pop-up electrical outlet?

    • @WinesPinesandCanines
      @WinesPinesandCanines  Год назад

      We didn’t but not a bad idea. We installed it in that far corner to keep it away from the sink. It is a tight fit to the counter and is far enough that it doesn’t get water near it. But something to keep an eye on. It unscrews from the bottom so easy to remove and add if needed. Thanks for the watch!
