Years back when I was playing borderlands for the first time, the dove hornet was what got me into the farming scene, when I learned that 1) it could be a hybrid (and that hybrids were a thing), and 2) that slither had a chance to drop it. I've been casually farming it on and off ever since, and I still haven't had it drop from slither to this day. Congrats on finishing that grind!

This reminded me of my own weird BL1 gun. A Hydra Hydra shotgun. A Pearlescent Hydra shotgun that, instead of the expected flat horizontal spread like normal, functioned exactly like a regular shotgun. So I had all of the other expected stats, including it's incredibly high damage per pellet, but without the major downside of all the pellets flying off in flat fan shape akin to the Mastiff shotgun from Titanfall.
I wasnt jealous of this video until i found out that one of your members can glow on command. And like Glowing obnoxiously bright is something ive always wanted to do

Played the borderlands GOTY on xbox x, ported my save from 360 and gearbox deleted my BLR Hornet. It's not even famable anymore. I farmed the dove hornet (like a real man) too!

That was a fun back-and-forth farm, thanks for sharing. My stupidly long farm I’m currently on is to get all the shams. All 125 unique parts combinations. I’ve got 95 of them so far (out of 166 total shams) Nearing 5k runs, so I know the struggle of “why am I doing this??”
Oh God, you poor soul. In all my like 2ksish hours on bl2 I think the only ones I haven't found are a 94, 84, 93 and 91. Not too sure about the rest but I KNOW I've gotten both 77% combos multiple times, even in the Hunt
This is how I feel about farming ANY IVF from Bosun in TPS.... The long way around. (I haven't mastered grenade/rocket jumping and even though I have the Logans Gun I don't know how to get a Moonscaper on PlayStation, so... Just gotta keep "living the dream")
That's rough. I suggest just farming 2 torrents from Meg and dashboard farming the grinder for IVF's. The fact that Bosun has both the IVF and cryophobia kicks their drop rates to 3.3% each, it's just not worth it.

I save/quit on a gun I didn't care for in the grinder once and I got back in to find that I'd lost all the parts I used - which wasn't actually a surprise really, I just wanted to see if it would work. Farming on PC looks monumentally easier, but PlayStation is just raw dogging the game the way it was intended I guess
At some point you need to do a playthrough with Fishman... I won't do that bullshit of Day X of asking for BLANK Instead I will use an ancient and sacred spell: no balls you won't.

Also, I wouldn’t be farming the side quest on the Dove Hornet since it won’t be on level, after all, it’s only stuck between a whole 20 something or level 40 something either way I wanted to at least be around 66 to 68 that would be ideal.

All the Hybrids, EXECPT the Dove Hornet exist in the remaster. Dove hornet got patched out of the game when they fixed a bug with the dove's barrel that let the hybrid happen. The other 9 are still in the game though
You're right, the only part on the dove that isn't fixed is the accessory. Which is dumb because the only unique part is the barrel and all the fixed parts are low quality.
@@IGSA101can't have a infinite ammo super pistol! that'd be too easy! And apparently some versions of the game can't even spawn in the Dove Hornet, they get auto cleaned on load because the accessory slot is locked to none on those versions. Seriously though, the Dove's main gimmick is mediocre holdout gun for when shit's gone pair shaped, I don't really get why it's nerfed into the ground.
I just wanted to say that I just got the dove hornet drop from slither after 5 tries. Also got the ajax ogre from ajax after 2 tries today. What hybrid should I go for next? Lady luck is on my side
@@Cashew1405 would it being a yellow legendary vs an orange legendary make a difference in its stats? It's a yellow one, whereas my regular hornet is the deep orange and does way more damage at the same level.

oh dude, your gonna need a lot more than 20 runs. Me getting the quest one in 20 was insanely lucky. Like, mindbogglingly lucky. You saw that the 2nd one took 850 runs. I'd the adverage your looking for from the quest is 3 or 400 runs at least.
In my last playthrough, I got a hybrid Boomstick/Friendly fire just from the story boss run. And yes, I'm just commenting this cause I found it cool! It wasn't even very useful.

Nope, it was an Ogre with the highest possible DPS. Wild prefix, matching grip. A DAHL stock would've been nice but it doesn't effect the stat's besides recoil reduction.

Why don't you change your FOV on BL1 in your Willow files? It's so easy to do and makes the game way more pleasant.
I have done that at this point. At the time the 1 button toggle wouldn't work so I just got used to typing the console command lmao.
