Great shop, Great tools, great workmanship, equals great results!
Pretty incredible project. So detailed and magnificently executed. Thanks for sharing. I'm moving on to part 2.
Great set up, perfect execution..this is going to be another beautiful piece Guy. You never cease to amaze
Thanks Wayne! You're making me blush.... HaHa
I really like this build! I'm looking forward to seeing it's progress.
Thanks Huy! It's going to be a fun project to build.
This is one of those project that i've been wanting to do for a while. Lots going on in a little project. Looks great so far.
Thanks Mike! There is a heckuva lot going on in this project. Lots of small details that have be performed to capture the look of a Greene and Greene piece.
I like this style. I will definitely watch this build. TY for posting these vids.
Thanks Joseph!
Beautiful work as always, Guy your work is so incredible. Thank You for giving the example of how to make an offset domino so simple can't wait to find a project to try this method.
Thanks Thom! With a domino or biscuit joiner, it is always about the reference surface. I use the shim method all the time. Works great!
Living in Dayton, CR Muterspaw is my go-to source for lumber. Great folks, great selection, and great prices!
Cool! I'm glad I found them, and it seems that people that know them have had really positive things to say.
Looking good, looking forward to the finish.
Thanks Lynn!
That's some good looking lumber, Guy. Can't wait for part 2, the clock is going to look awesome.
Thanks Sean!
Looks great, looking forward to part 2!

Thanks Roman! It's been on my mind to make for about a year now.
Another beautiful piece in the works. I can't wait to see it finished -- but I guess I'm gonna have to wait.... lol
HaHa. Thanks Dave!
I like G&G style. Looking forward to the next episode.
Steve
Thanks Steve!

Another nice project Guy
Thanks Mitch!
That's going to be a great looking clock Guy. I'm planning a trip to Mutterspaw this summer while we're on a trip to Dayton.
Thanks John!
Very nice!!
Thanks Tom!
Looking good Guy
Thanks Frank!
Interesting to see that you have the Dewalt planer set to 2 rather than 1. Do you notice a difference in surface finish? You have the Byrd Shelix though, right? Debating on either upgrading to a larger planer with a helical head or upgrading the Dewalt. Tough call. Anyway, awesome project Guy! Gorgeous stuff. Your precision never ceases to amaze me.
Thanks Johnny! I have had the Byrd Shelix in the planer since day one, and have never tried the slower speed. The finish coming off of it is very good, but will still need surface prep like any planer will. I am very happy with the plane, it's just the noise and the shallow depth of cut. I have thought about a larger planer, but will put in the Byrd head as an aftermarket item. The only unit I have found with a genuine Shelix head in it is the Powermatic.
I absolutely love your work. Great job! I'm a G&G fan too. Found you curtesy of Jay's "Interesting Stuff Around The Web" series. Just subscribed so I don't miss anything.
Thanks Alexis! This is the first G&G piece I have built and I love the look! I will definitly be making more of this style in the future
Very nice Guy!!!👍👍😂
Thanks Bob!
That is some beautiful work sir, great fits and joints, everything came together perfect. Where can I buy the clock face and movement?
Hay Guy! I like the G&G style as well. The project is a nice combination of techniques...(I) like that too. Took me back a little bit with how it ended but thinking about it, it just made me want to see Part II. :>) ...Nice work.
Thanks Tom!
Well done. I noticed the digital readout on the planer. Can you comment on make and if it is as useful as you thought it would be? Thanks
Thanks Bob! I love the digital readout it is super accurate, and rarely use calipers to check the boards. If I set it at 3/4", I know it's going to come out within a couple thousandths of an inch.
you explain that as well and your precise working method is simply awesome! 👍 greetings from my channel 😄
Thanks!
Great video and beautiful work as usual. What is the purpose of the long board on which you feed the stock into the planer. Is it because your infeed table is not lined up?
Thanks Fred! My tables line up fine. I've found that this board gives me much less snipe is all. Not perfect, but darn close.
Looking good Guy. I love Mutterspaw, if you ever go let me know, we could meet ☺️
Hey Brian! The prices are pretty good. I m ay take a trip out there someday. Not too awful far.
Mr. Dunlap, do you have any additional thoughts or comments on the TS LS Positioner since your RUclips review?
I have had the fence for over 3 years now, and still love it. I cannot imagine being without it at all.
WI`d like to restore my antique collected wood clocks case. Please suggest me what kind of sustainable wood glue I can use for this. What kind of wood glue do you use?
great project guy! really thinking about attempting it. When you say take an 1/8 off of the panel for expansion are you allowing a 1/16th on all sides then or an 1/8 on all sides for expansion? Also being as i don't have a domino would dowels or biscuits be a better choice?
Thanks Scott! Nope, just allowing 1/16 on the sides for expansion. Should be more than enough. I took off an 1/8 on the length just because it was a round number, and I wanted to make sure the the panel didn't bottom out in the grooves causing the panel not to come together. If you don't have a domino, I would suggest dowels. The biscuits may be altiile too big for this.
how did you like the lumber you found online? I think they have the best bf price compared to what it is here in sacramento .
The lumber is great! Came in fairly dry, let it sit for a week, and it was down to about 8%. Very flat also. I will be using them again.
Looking good Guy! How do you like working with mahogany?
Thanks Brian! I have worked with African Mahogany before, and this is the first time with genuine mahogany. I really like it! Easy to work and surprised at how light it is.
Did you drive to Xenia or have it shipped? I have been there since they are about 30 minutes from me. They have a good selection.
I had it shipped. I wouold like to come and visit them though. Chad seems like a nice guy.
beautiful so tired I wasn't expecting anything but🍻 the ending through me off usually you give a little Narrative of what's to come next so it threw me off LOL looking forward to Part II Men is going to be a beautiful clock love the green and green Style
Thanks Joe! I have never done a G&G piece before. It's going to be a fun project!
GuysWoodshop 1st time for everything..aint it.
Well done, Guy. What is the reason you used dowels and not a domino?
Thanks Steve! The dominos would nave either interfered with the dados on the posts, or the tenons on the rails. Believe me when I say I would have used dominos if I could have!
Ah I see, and I believe you would have :>).
Will this be an entirely wooden clock, meaning movement too? Or will you be installing a preconstructed metal movement?
Hey Chris. I am going to be using a quartz battery operated model with a pendulum. I had a clock in my office with a mechanical movement, and really disliked the clicking of it, so I gave it away years ago.
GuysWoodshop Thanks for the reply!
