"Habitation within a gigantic skull" is a motif you might expect to see in fantasy. Doing it in such an obvious sci-fi setting is unique and breathtaking. Then again, the whole Lost River biome has an aura of magic.
I really like how much this base puts the size of the skull into perspective. Normally when you're swimming around, or piloting a seamoth/cyclops/Prawn Suit, you don't quite see the scale, but when you're inside the base you can really feel how big it is. Like at 2:49 when you see it towering over the base.
Well, now I'm gonna be seeing if I can repurpose that "Cyclops Dock" structure to see if you can build a tunnel network AROUND a Cyclops, taking into account the nacelles and such. Also if there is space to place a hatch underneath the cyclops hatch. Hopefully at such an angle that you drop out of the Cyclops right in front of it. Never thought of building a Dock for a Cyclops before so thank you.
Using the console commands you can spawn a bunch of ridiculous stuff, you can't get it by normal means in the game. I never tested that, will try at some point.
What a coincidence, I was also thinking about build a base in lost river. I was going to build it above the gargatuan skull but it doesn't allow me. So I build a base behind the gargatuan skull. But It's not built on the ground It's up on the ceiling, like hanging up there
This is why the only discrepancy I have with Subnautica is it's horrible sense of scale. You could easily fit a base as big as this in the mouth of a gargantuan leviathan, but in the game it just barely looks like you'll be able to fit a cyclops in there. And especially with all the leviathans, too. The reaper leviathan? That shit is 55 meters long. It's longer than the statue of liberty is tall. And it looks nowhere NEAR that huge in-game. Awesome base though. I love the concept here, and I'm surprised it hasn't been done before!
Oh I'm by no means the first to build here, I do love the biome and will probably build there again soon. I can somewhat agree with you. In the case of this skull I always understood it as an ancient fossil, millions of years old of a particularly huge speciment, one of a kind. The others you find are a lot smaller. Scale wise the only thing that makes sense is the Vent Garden Leviathan in BZ, it's a shame we can't interact with them more.

It really does. It stands out from all biomes.

It's the actual star of the show, the base is just an acessory
@@overl0rd883 While we're giving it accessories, why don't we give it a hat too?
Imagine the Cyclops is a hat
ooooooh this is a cool one!! i almost wish it was entirely contained within the mouth, but that would be pretty limiting
You are spot on. I tried that several times, but it didn't quite fit and it was too simple for me
nice to see you back. i never thought you could build inside that
Oh man i'm late but anyways, the base inside the skull really shows the scale of the creature.
Looks like a villain's lair.
This is majestic
A compliment from the man, the myth, the legend himself. Just made my day, thank you
That's an awesome idea. Looks great.
Thank you !

This is such a good base I might have to steal the design
You are welcome. That's what this channel is about
@@overl0rd883I think I found my new favorite base designer for subnautica
NOBODY NOTICED THE REEF BACK IN THE AQUARIUM???
How did it get in there?
You can use code to get the Reefback egg, And shuttlebug egg
how is it or the player alive that deep tho
Amazing bro!
Glad you liked it !

I've done other ''cyclops docks'' but I think I like this one the most, I envisioned it to be kinda like a giant magnet.
Chef's kiss
Nice Base
😊
COOL BASE
is this subnautica 2.0 ?
Correct
“Meanwhile, at the Legion of Doom…”
Reminds me of those creepy power rangers villains lairs back in the 90's
how do you have reefback in aquarium ? Is there a place where you have not made a base yet? I challange you to make a base on top of the Aurora.

I have to try something like that some day. Next vid will probably be in the lost river as well
It is a very good base
Thank you !
I know that I am really late but I just love dis base so much I buildit!! Only take me 1 hour but it was worthit😊
Glad you liked it ! Very simple design
How do you make sure the ghost don’t attack your cyclops
This is done in creative
Creatures also don't attack the cyclops when the engine is off
You should make some tuts
Yeah...but i built a base on the top of the last lab where the sea king was😇
can ypu give us download link or tutorial pls
I don't do that. As for the tutorials, I make the videos in a way that they should work as a tutorial in themselves, it's very easy to replicate.
@@overl0rd883 I understand, thank you. Sorry I was a bit lazy this month
