Oh, I didn't know you made something similar 😓 I didn't think abt using it at first, but when I came to threading them on I soon realized that I'd need a needle lol!!
I’m definitely gonna make some of these! Yesterday I got a female Syrian hamster and I need to make some more diys for her enclosure because the stuff I already made was too small. (I very much underestimated how massive she would be- literally the size of a Guinea pig)
Aww! That's so nice of you 😄❤! I'm really happy with the subs I currently have and I never even thought I'd make it this far, but I hope there's more to come. So that means a lot, thanks!! 😀 I'm really happy you found the video useful for your mice! 🐁
Thanks 😄! You can get that type of cardboard in packages holding more fragile-type things. I got it from a mirror package. But other than that I'm personally not sure where you can get it 😅 Hope you can find some though!
I tried the foraging toy with TP and the rectangular box sealed with food inside. My hamster is picky. She wouldn't go for any of it. These were super cute ideas. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Riley its Ava I love this video!!!! You are so creative😄 btw the song you played at the end of the video was "The Sprinkle Song" from my favorite RUclipsr her name is Moriah Elizabeth I think you would like her content she does videos about art and posts videos on Fridays at 4:00!
Hey Ava, thanks so much! The song I used was called "Sweet as Honey" I believe. I just got it off of the RUclips audio library, it's basically a bunch of copyright free music and stuff lol. So I'm not sure if the RUclipsr you mentioned calls it her own thing, so that's interesting! I've never checked out that channel before so thanks for the suggestion. :)
@@Allthingshamster lol you deserve it! meanwhile on the other hand I’m at an all time low 🥲 I literally have been stuck at 475-480 for the past couple weeks and ppl keep unsubscribing lmao.
Sorry you're having trouble. Which toy was that? Do you mean the one that uses a toilet paper tube? Make sure you're folding in the sides of the tube so they overlap. Press the folds hard so the cardboard really creases and holds.
Hi! I loved all of the toys you made. I just have one question, how are hamsters supposed to play with toys number 1, 2 and 3. Like do they chew the cardboard to get the food. And also, can my hamster accidentally eat the toilet paper? I hope you see my comment, thanks!
Hey, thank you very much! Yes, they would have to chew the cardboard in order to reach the food. And also yes, if your hamster accidentally eats the toilet paper they're gonna be all ok! Most of the time, hamsters don't eat what they chew on. They simply chew things and let the little pieces fall out of their mouths or bring soft materials back to their nest. Also, toilet paper can easily digest in a hamster's stomach, so no worries if some gets accidentally swallowed. 😊 Hope that helps!
@@imajicasnow It is! non-toxic PVA glue is water-soluble. If your hamster chews on an item with this glue it'll simply dissolve. 🙂 Hamsters don't usually swallow the things they chew on anyway. They bite bits off and leave them.

Don't worry, your questions aren't rude at all, I'm happy to help! Yes, hamsters will bite through cardboard, that's the purpose of these toys. They're meant to be torn apart, chewed on, and shredded by the hamster 😄. It keeps them busy! And, yes, it's perfectly fine if they eat it. Cardboard/paper dissolves easily in their stomachs and won't cause blockages or anything bad like that! Although, hamsters won't aim to eat the cardboard, they usually just rip of bits and pieces and leave them aside. 🙂
This is awesome! However, you should never feed a hamster seed mix as a main diet, and hopefully you meant to use their seed mix as treats, but instead they should have only pellets and have fruits and vegetables on the side! Once again, I love the content and I’m not trying to be a hater!
I meant seed mix as his main, balanced food. I use the terms interchangeably 😅, you'll see why: His food (or seed mix as mentioned) is a mixture of pellets, seeds, nuts, dried fruit/veggies, and mealworms. I don't like feeding only pellets as it gives a hamster less variety on the daily. He does get fruits and vegetables on the side. I appreciate your input, I don't take it negatively. Thank you!
Are these toys dangerous for hamsters? I mean, if it's a small hamster, will it eat carton? I am getting hamster soon I am making a good cage for him so thank you for your wonderful videos. I have benefited a lot ♡.

On the first one poke the holes before you glue, right after cutting
Good idea, you might have an easier time keeping the boxes in shape.
Defo making some of these
Just asking?
Is glue safe, pva? Pritstick? Superglue, any suggestions?
Please ❤
@@traceytaft non toxic pva glue is safe. I use Elmer's. So is non toxic hot glue.
I wanted to know what can I put instead of sawdust because Aspen doesn't sell in the city and country where I live
Spruce and Birch are safe options too if you can find those. Other than that, unscented paper bedding is safe.
I had a question are these also for dwarf hamster or only for syrian hamsters? And great video 😁
They're for all hamsters.
Is the glue safe, what is it or if it’s homemade how did you make it
I used Elmer's school glue. It's non-toxic and perfectly safe. 😄
The toy that you said was super easy, idk how you get it to fold and then keep sturdy. Mine just falls apart, and the food spills out.
