4:12 This really helped me (as this is where I learned it from).
What I've learned since, is its recommended to take out both radar vans first before any structures. Then just attack each structure behind it from the north to stay out of range of the defenses and quad cannon.
If one wants to try to beat the level conventionally, but make it much less challenging; what I tend to do is first take out the radio station in the town ( get in and out before the troops spawn); and then fly him to the enemy base to hit the scud storm and the palace. With these 3 targets down, the car/truck bombs, superweapon and rocket buggies/ scud launchers will cease to be a problem. The enemy will still spam tanks and technicals, but tower garrisoned rocket soldiers supported by firebases on the central and southern bridges will take care of them.

Nice strategy westwood i loved it, but you know when i first time tried to play this mission i've needed 1 hour to complete it , but that was a great game ;)
Man, I played this game back in '04-'07 or so, and totally forgot how to win. Another video showed Col. Burton taking out the propaganda center in the northeast, which I did first. Constant GLA armor & rockets kept destroying my defenses until the Scud storm finished me off. Your plan of using Burton to destroy the GLA production buildings helped out. THANKS!

Tried this method on my first hardest mission 4 it works.
Okay that's genuis but I'm pretty sure that you have repeat it a couple of times
Was auch gut geht, ist nur Kraftwerk und 2 Baracks bauen, dazu die Öltürme von Minen befreien und einnehmen. Dann in jeden der 3 Türme an den Brücken je 1 Scharfschützen und 9 RPG zur Verteidigung. Kann man evtl. auch lassen. Dann mit dem Col. Burton und 1 Scharfschützen über die oberste Brücke gehen. Man kommt an einer Stinger-Site und ein paar Demo-Traps vorbei (dafür ist der Scharfschütze). Dann klettert Col. Burton über den Berg in die Basis genau zwischen den beiden Stinger-Sites. Er zerstört erst die beiden Stinger-Sites und den Scud-Launcher, der dazwischen steht. Dann zerstört er den Scud-Storm (Counter endet bei etwa 3:45) und dann zerlegt er die restlichen Gebäude.
So many hours... wasted.

This is like China mission 3 but actually enjoyable.

this would be a cool mission to play the hard way except the scud launcher ruins it for me. I've completed it on Hard years ago but can't remember how. I think rushing the base to the North and also rushing in to take about 4 of the oil derricks was the trick... can't remember where the scuds landed.
(I know I'm responding to a comment over 5 years old) Just wanted to chime in with how I play it the hard way (on hard difficulty).
If no non-stealthed units are detected in the oild fields, most of the rocket buggies and scuds are dispatched to the central bridge. Until the palace can be targeted by a triple A10 strike; have Burton just beyond the bridge, near the repair bay. The scuds and buggies will move to park in front of him, where he can target them manually before the launch. You can also have him place remote demo charges by the spots they tend to park at. Let all other vehicles pass through the bridge where firebases and rockets will get them. -- Having Burton on guard mode isn't recommend. I usually have him engage the scuds and buggies once they're in place and ready to fire. -- The southern bridge can be lightly defended, occasionally a truck bomb rolls through though uncommon.
The northern bridge only needs 4-5 lined up firebases with rocket soldiers and 2 snipers, as its just terrorists, car and truck bombs. -- If one is quick enough, Colonel Burton can be flown to the radio station in the town, destroying it, and flown back out before the related announcement spawns all the infantry. Note that the infantry will still spawn even though the radio station was destroyed; but no terrorist/ car bomb attacks will occur, letting you focus the defense on the central bridge.
The rest of it is either destroying the 3 arms dealers with A10s, or creating defensive line along the 3 capturable artillary platforms, garrisoning rocket soldiers in the towers, backing them up with paladins and rocket-humvees. -- The idea is to choke point the 3 passes between the enemy base minefields and oil derricks.

What I do at the start is garrison those towers with two snipers but motherfucking bomb trucks man...
I found it's better not to garrison the snipers in any of the towers. What I do is run them all the way across the bridges and then on guard mode nearby right by the shoreline (in a location they can't be easily run over).
The bomb trucks can be best handled either with a 4-5 firebase defensive line stocked with rocket defenders. Good thing is that if the player is fast enough, Col Burton can be flown into the town, destroy the station, and flown back out before the event spawns the town's troops. The troops will still spawn, but no attacks will come via the north bridge.

Ja, das ist richtig. Allerdings war die erste Aufnahme mit einer sehr schlechten Qualität. Und da hab ich noch mit meinem alten Headset aufgenommen, was extremst grauenhaft klingt. Dieses Video hier ist hingegen schön kurz und hat eine gute Qualität
