I got in to start the beta, but the site crashed twice and then by the time I got it working I missed out on the first round. Also Nintendo is "coming soon." Would be nice to use the Switch when I am traveling and then back to Steam or PS5 when I get home.
Yeah, I tried getting my Xbox and PS4 saves onto my PS5 but just get the message that it is full but more spaces will be available soon. When I do get those saves onto my PS5 will I be able to have all expeditions I have completed on the one save, or are they tied to THAT save only? For example I did the Liquidators and Aquarius expeditions on my PS4 save but did the Cursed expedition on PS5 ( I was gonna wait to play on PS5 til I could import my PS4 save but the urge was too strong :D) Is there a way to get ALL 3 of those expeditions complete in the Catalogue on the one save, and thus the rewards? Or if I am understanding things properly, are the completions bound to that particular save but rewards from them account bound?
I wish we knew when they'd open it up to everyone....I'd love to be able to play the 1000+ hour save from my PS4 on my Switch, so that I can play my main save on the got.

@@AdminHouse same, I stopped playing PS4 and never got a PS5 (it's when I didn't see the point in console gaming) and decided to build my first PC. I know you can transfer save files unofficially, but it takes ages and has so much anti-cheat stuff in the way regarding file transfers on console. I didn't buy NMS on steam purely because I didn't want to sink so many hours back into the game to get back to where I was. But now cross-save is coming, I think I'll buy it and move my save to PC from my PS4 and get back into it.
I can't wait till I can cloud save. Been dying to get my PS5 save back on PS4 for VR. Yes, I still enjoy the PSVR 1. I don't get as much motion sickness from it.

@@3spectre26 just friend yourself on another platform, join the game, and transfer items. You used to be able to sell your ships to NPCs, and them buy it with your other platform account. I've used save file editors to merge things into 1 save too.
For me that cross-save page says coming soon for Nintendo, but I see in your video that you were able to link your Nintendo account. Do you know if they disabled that for a reason, like it wasn't properly working? Or does it get enabled when you get approved for the beta?
Im angry because I got brand new ps5, transferred all my data from ps5 to ps5 pro, I literally have all my saves on all my other games besides no man’s sky, how do I get my ps5 data to ps5 pro no man’s sky
Started playing on my pc in 2023 and put like 100 hours into the game and just got it on switch they day cursed expedition released and it’s all great being able to take it places but I was sad that I can’t get my good save on switch, but now I can yippee
A friend of mine has been having issues with his. It says the cross save beta is currently full and he can't access his save for the ps4 ver on the ps5
@@alester15 it’s only available for a certain amount of people because they’re beta testing. So it’s already filled up, I have also been dying to play the ps5 version but I don’t wanna give up my save hahahaha

I have seen the option to turn on the cross save on PS4, but leaving that alone for the moment. I don't mind having it and the PC version separated. I might do it just for the Playstation for when I do get a PS5, but there's no telling when that will happen. I already get the drops on both so not worried there either.
I wonder if this will affect expedition rewards like say I finished an expedition were we got a ship as a reward would I then have that unlocked on pc if I connect them?

Can you seamlessly go back and forth? Play from the couch on Xbox and then pick up that same save on steam deck when I leave the house? Or does it need to be manually uploaded to get the most current save when going back and forth between platforms? Or is this just more to get your main games on a different platform instead of starting over.
You can already redeem the Switch ship on PC with the save editor. Unlock it in the editor, disconnect your internet, then go to the Quicksilver synthesis guy and redeem it while offline.
Can someone help me? My Steam account has been banned, and I can't link it to the site for cross-save. Is there any other way to transfer my save to PS5?
You can only connect one Playstation account. You'd have to get the game for PC. Transfer PS4 save to PC, disconnect PS4 account, connect PS5 Pro account, and transfer your save from PC to PS5 Pro. Shuffling it like this will be the only way.
this is huge now if i play on ps5 and steam they will be same game file not separated playthroughs now my ps5 ands steam purchase will be worth it by the way i bought this game 3 times but i broke my disc version when i got stuck 2 years ago
now i can get my pc save from steam to my ps5 and get all expeditions done because i bought my ps5 version this year and i have all expedition done on my steam account
What a shame this Cross Save BS broke the play anywhere... I could play game pass version on pc and xbox/x anytime, the saves where synced, now it doesn't update any new progress since, and like everyone else gets the beta is full crap...

We need cloud saves for consoles. The last expedition wiped my entire gane. I am not biying a pc and the game again just so I can have another save .

It's still exciting. If you played on ps4 you couldn't move the save to ps5. For old save you had to play ps4 version.
