Same here. I'm a young teen, but my mama and daddy raising me up good so I LOVE ALL of Steve Earle's music. I just recently bought Guitar Town, The Hard Way, and I Feel Alright! I love em! Long live the last of the hard-core troubadours!!
Get educated on the crap he went through that we will never know or experience. That ol boy is the last of that kind, what kinda music do you listen to? People like him had stories to tell because of experience and hard livin, like ol Hank and Waylon. Long live the great and mighty STEVE EARLE!!!😈
By the way, I'm very educated on him, I know more about him than a lot of people, and I have very high respect for him. LONG LIVE THE LAST OF THE HARD CORE TROUBADOURS!!! STEPHEN FAIN EARLE!!🇺🇲🤠🇺🇸🤠🇺🇲🇺🇸😈😈🤠

I was just saying. I respect your opinion, and like politics, everyone has a say. And like Steve says in the Revolution Starts Now on F the CC, "I can say anything I wanna say" but not in a mean way. I hope you have a good night, and it was quite a time talking to you. Sincerely, Amy Rushton.
Well I was introduced by others to his music back then when I was in college and hung at with a bunch of country boys and thought he was great. I keep drifting back to that music today and fairly recently discovered his bluegrass work with the Del McCoury Band on Mountain, which I have been wearing out. Just really good stuff.
Love this interview really kool to see a grate album I’ve been a fan since I was real little I’ve listened to every album there ain’t a bad song ur my favorite song writer my dad showed me you he used to go to ur shows in the 80 and 90 And it was past to me I gravitated to I feel alright keep doing what you’re doing hope to see you live and meet you again
Yes he is, it runs in our family. His music is soooo good and I love that he speaks his mind. He's a greatful humanitarian. I love him WAMH. As my special son Ian would say ma, he's a good man😄💜🤗🌹😘☮️
@@kerpin09 meh. After he moved to New York, he lost his fastball. I’ve seen Steve live at least 14 or 15 times, the last being on his Jerusalem Tour. Lost interest.
Aww man he was so handsome ...and he could sing ...his voice fantastic .. & he can write those songs ...just wish he would have taken better care of himself ..and not got mixed up in the life he did ..such a waste of youth ...I'm glad he got straighted out..however or whoever helped him ...get that way ...man oh man !! smh ! I'm glad he's still able to sing ....just wow man ...I know Justin T. Well he was a talented musician like his Father too but lots of them think great art comes from great suffering and it's part of the lifestyle sex drugs and rock n roll he was 38 and overdosed on drugs laced with fentanyl which were a non issue in the 70s and 80s when Steve was young still it's tragic.
Oh God, no! When he was 33, that's when Copperhead Road came out. So, in this video, he'd be only 32, because he said he eldest kid is 5, which would be Justin, and Steve was 27 when J.T was born in 1982 and 5 years later would put you at 1987. Sorry if that came out a little rude. I didn't mean it to be😔 I just wanted to get facts out... with math... that I ain't great at lol
After, but he got clean after many years, such a great artist, he's older now and can see all the wasted years, and to know that he could have been one of the all time greats, like George Jones, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings,Merle haggard to name a few off the top of my head.......but no doubt what he was able to put out was great for sure and will always be remembered....,.he lived hard and fast, but he is still alive to tell the story!!
@@keithgrimes9622 Yeah, and he should have. But no doubt there was no malice aforethought. It's a song of la joie de vivre of being a young musician finally getting his big break and touring in a big van with a band he's really synched in with. I think going from "Jap" to MIJ would have been a good switch. And here I am , telling my favorite songwriter how to improve on the lyrics of his first hit.
You can get a very long way on $37 and a cheap guitar if you can sing like Steve Earl, so far that when you get loaded with cash you can help drive up the prices of realy nice guitars into the stratosphere where guitar virtuosos cant afford one.
Big Follower. I'd always buy Steve Earles records. He was and still is an original!

He learned well, didn't he! Such a talented musician, songwriter, writer - and talker! I love listening to him.

"It's not you, it's just the idea of you" is what I'm about to start saying to a lot of people.
This was in 1986-1987, around the release of Steve's "Guitar Town" album.
I love just listing to him talk! He is such an awesome singer, song writer, guitarist and talker

Guitar town is one of my favorites
Stevie Ray Vaughn, George Straight, Steve Earle. Texas had an era of great musicians during this period.
Always liked Omar Dykes and Ray Benson
No industry plant here . He is the real deal , came up the hard way , lived a hard life

Japanese guitars aren't cheap.. just saying.. some of the best out there (aka takamine)
He's referring to a cheap Yamaha acoustic guitar. I owned one once and the action on that thing was like an inch and a half. 😆
Notice that on the video he changes the lyric to "cheap guitar!"

I just found out they edited Jap guitar to cheap guitar. The remastered video isn't edited.
