Nice video, informative and no time waste also very practical advice. Watched your previous videos on the older S6 lite months ago and liked those as well. Keep it up!
When I bought mine I didn't know it was a 2022... I've learn while watching one of your video not a long time ago. by the way you're right, for the price s6 lite is a very good deal! 🙂
I'm looking for my first tablet and deciding between these two. I don't think I need the better processor on the 2022 edition, but I want to use the tablet for multiple years, so should I go for the 2022 edition because it gets more updates? 2020 edition costs 310€ here, 2022 editions costs 370€ Edit: I'm getting the 2022 edition, 60€ for 2 years more support is pretty good. Also, while the 2020 processor is good enough for me, faster loading times and similar stuff are also nice bonuses.
i was looking for a tab 1-2 months ago so the s6 lite 2022 version wasnt available. in this price range and size was the s6 2020 (300e) , xiaomi pad 5 (340e) and ipad9 (345e). i decide to get the ipad9 but the s6l 2022 looks like a solid option as well , the spen is amazing but every android tab i compare to ipad 9 i feel like its lagging xd. the ipad9 is amazing check it out as well.
For media consumption, internet browsing, light note taking, and access to the basics of a windows office I don't know if I should get the s6 lite 2020 for 320$ or the s6 lite 2022 for 500$. The price difference is quite wide knowing that with 600$ I could get the s7 fe which is kind of out of my budget. Should I still get the tab s6 lite 2020 in 2022?
I personally think the smaller tablets shouldn't have the camera on the longer side of the screen. Because you're mainly using this thing in portrait mode.
Thanks for the Comparison! I wouldn't upgrade, because ist has still no display output& middle camera and these functions that i want. For Word¬es the old model is good enough.
When they announced the 2022 version, I hoped that they will add an oled panel, but they continue to use the TFT screen, which is a huge disappointment. S5e it is a better option.
I have the tab s6 lite 2020 version, I got it last year at June and it's been with me for 1 year and I use the tablet daily for (Gaming, watching Netflix, drawing and other stuff) and it's still very smooth. I'm really impressed on how the 2022 improved the tab s6 lite but the problem is my country sells the tablets very expensive I mean when I got the 2020 version I got it at 350$ (they are also increasing it to 400$ now) and I think if they released in my country the new version it would probably be 500$ or 550$. And I tried to look for better offers but nope all same prices and everything. So ye I'm happy with my 2020 version, also you really helped me choose the best budget table cuz I got it by your review on it back in 2021 and I also saw your reviews on it in 2020 and you helped me get the right tablet :) . Love your reviews (Been watching for a year). Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the comparison. I heard you say that the tab S6 lite does not have video out. Why would you need wired video out? Does the S6 lite not have "Smart View?" It is in its user manual and specification. Thanks again.
Was able to snag the s6 lite 2022 for $229 during black friday, for the price nothing comes close in terms of value. Even the $280 9th gen ipad which only has a better processor, everything else is worse.
Still amazed after 2 years of you palming the tablet like it is phone... hahaha... I can kind of do it, but I have a case that increase the width... hahaha... Since there is a price difference and you are getting from Europe, I think you need to compare it with S7 FE or something -that is closer in price -assuming the Euro prices are similar for the 2 devices. Enjoy your videos, especially when you are talking about S6 Lite - my favorite!
I just checked on Best Buy, it costs almost $500 for the 2022 version, so with that price, isn’t it better to grab S7 FE? I thought about upgrading my S6 Lite , I bought it on Black Friday last year, still performing great,
with a friend of mine we compare m ipad9 with the s7+ he got. The s7+ was beautiful , the spen was amazing but is a huge tablet , u need a backpack to carry it with u. But the ipad or the s6lite u can get it everywhere with u with a small shoulder bag. Also in m opinion looks to me that the s7+ had some small lags in the navigation's home screen when the ipad looks like it was flawless even though the display is 60hz. but this small lag is normal for every other android tab i had in the past anyway.

Ty for the review & reminder of the new... I still have the tab s6 lite and I am also really careful with it use it mostly in Dex mode in its own case with keyboard. What amazes me and I find so strange, is the naming of the new tab s6 lite 2022. In 5 years will it be the new tabs s6 lite 2027?
hey ivan, why dont you compare the peroformance of s7 fe 5g v/s wifi version? i have been waiting for that video. why cant u compare the difference in lag, performance, responsivess...please do it
hey, i love your videos, they're so on point and quite informative about what i really want to know! :D btw yes the 2022 version is available in India for 400$. so i was planning to buy the S6 lite, should i opt for the 2022 version or the 2020 one which is available at a much lower cost to me (313-270$) we have android 12 on the old model now, i think that's sufficient even if Samsung doesn't give more updates. is the 720G processor worth investing a bit more bucks? my priorities are just note taking and media consumption, no gaming. also do you experience any lags/jitters on your tablet? where do you get the tips for the s pen? sorry for asking so many questions, i want to make sure if it's worth the money, else I'd have to buy the ipad 9th gen 400$ and pay 100$ more for the pencil(which is way too expensive). edit: i bought the ipad 9th generation for a pretty good discounted price, along with an apple pencil alternative- they're both amazing in every way!! Im happy 😃😍
No tips for the S pen, with the 2020 model I def experience lag. If you want to keep it budget, the 2020 is fine, but I personally would add the 87 dollars and go for the 2022 in your specific case.
@@IvanKam11 hmm no tips huh, then the s pen would be useless after the tip runs out 😔 i will try for the ipad, it costs the same as the new s6lite. as for the apple pencil, i have to save more money 🥲
The 2022 Tab S6 Lite just dropped in India today, with following prices: S6 Lite WiFi 2022 : 340$ S6 Lite LTE 2022: 390$ S7 FE WiFi : 480$ S7 FE LTE: 590$ What do you suggest for most browsing, basic computing, may be a few video calls, but primary function will be media consumption both at home and on-the go. Not looking at it from a productivity angle at all or from a gaming angle. Kind of torn between S7FE Wifi and S6 Lite LTE 2022 edition. S7 FE has the bigger screen, but the S6Lite 2022 will enjoy more long term support most likely.
The 2022 s6 lite would be a good choice here but if budget is not limited I’d go for the s7 fe with that size given that you’ll need doing a lot of media consumption
The graphics driver for snapdragon are superior to other brands. That's not my opinion it's based on things developers from emulators have stated. If I was buying another tablet I would get a snapdragon brand.
Nah depends on the specific processor model, some SD are worse than Exynos and vice versa. Exynos had a terrible 2020 but so did SD in 2018 when the Exynos Note8 performed 30% faster and was more efficient at the same time. Years before that it wasn't very different. Now the real world performance is the same but we'll see what the future brings.
@@potatochalbro I have heard that the reason gamecube emulation is poor on the s6 lite is because the drivers are not very good. Overall I'm very happy with my s6 lite 2020.
All I want to know is if this has the annoying yellow screen tint. I got an s7 fe and returned it the same day because of that orange yellow hue. It's absolutely unacceptable.
I'm very curious to know how could you tell the difference on the new version the reason why I ask I just purchased one for my daughter and I don't know if I have 22 or the 20 model?
If the Tab S6 Lite 2022 sold for $250-$300, it would of been Solid Mid-Range Tablet and a capable competitor to the IPad. But for $400, the S6 Lite 2022 is simply overpriced
I am from India. Saving around 270 dollars when compared to S7+. My main use is media consumption and also as a Power bank for my mobile. What should I do?
Hi Ivan! I have the 2020 version of the S6 lite. However, my tablet keeps rebooting itself when I perform very light multitasking. Have you heard of this problem? It is becoming a nightmare
That’s interesting, haven’t heard anyone highlight it. What firmware are you running? Are you up to date on everything? Check to see if there isn’t an update waiting

You wouldn't by chance have a suggestion on the black bar across screen would you? At this point I won't be able to transfer my content from to 2020.
just read this comparison. Strange that other reviewers shos the 2022 is not as fast?
Did you test this doing a factory reset on the 2020 model?
Ty for the review & reminder of the new...
I still have the tab s6 lite and I am also really careful with it use it mostly in Dex mode in its own case with keyboard.
What amazes me and I find so strange, is the naming of the new tab s6 lite 2022. In 5 years will it be the new tabs s6 lite 2027?
In my opinion Samsung dropped the ball on this new tablet big time.
Informative! Does wireless dex work?
🙏🏾
It doesn’t
hey ivan, why dont you compare the peroformance of s7 fe 5g v/s wifi version? i have been waiting for that video. why cant u compare the difference in lag, performance, responsivess...please do it
I loves Samsung tablet it gives your phone break
Very interesting 👏
Should i buy s6 lite (2022) or s6 please for my studies 🤔🤔
Is that 2020 version still good? Pleaseee
hey, i love your videos, they're so on point and quite informative about what i really want to know! :D
btw yes the 2022 version is available in India for 400$.
so i was planning to buy the S6 lite, should i opt for the 2022 version or the 2020 one which is available at a much lower cost to me (313-270$) we have android 12 on the old model now, i think that's sufficient even if Samsung doesn't give more updates. is the 720G processor worth investing a bit more bucks? my priorities are just note taking and media consumption, no gaming. also do you experience any lags/jitters on your tablet? where do you get the tips for the s pen?
sorry for asking so many questions, i want to make sure if it's worth the money, else I'd have to buy the ipad 9th gen 400$ and pay 100$ more for the pencil(which is way too expensive).
edit: i bought the ipad 9th generation for a pretty good discounted price, along with an apple pencil alternative- they're both amazing in every way!! Im happy 😃😍
same question
No tips for the S pen, with the 2020 model I def experience lag. If you want to keep it budget, the 2020 is fine, but I personally would add the 87 dollars and go for the 2022 in your specific case.
@@IvanKam11 hmm no tips huh, then the s pen would be useless after the tip runs out 😔 i will try for the ipad, it costs the same as the new s6lite. as for the apple pencil, i have to save more money 🥲
@@IvanKam11 thank you for your reply! :D
So what's the difference?
How are you grabbing this with one hand??? Your hands must be massive 😆 good lordn
this is a burning topic to make a tech video...🔥🔥🔥
Indeed 🔥🔥
I think in 399 price range you should get the Samsung S7 FE instead , if you can find it at 300 $ then it is worth it
but the s7fe is huge tab compare to somthing like 10,5 that u can carry in your shoulder bag with a case.
The 2022 Tab S6 Lite just dropped in India today, with following prices:
S6 Lite WiFi 2022 : 340$
S6 Lite LTE 2022: 390$
S7 FE WiFi : 480$
S7 FE LTE: 590$
What do you suggest for most browsing, basic computing, may be a few video calls, but primary function will be media consumption both at home and on-the go.
I dont understand why they didnt release the galaxy tab s8 fe instead.
I bought mine for 280 dollars, so I'm extremely happy with the purchase :))
How do I know if an s6 lite is the 2022 model when buying it?
Never seen a review with this much detail. 👌
Anyone reading "MUST WATCH!" sarcastically thinks to themselves "wow I gotta watch it now," but then here I am. 🤓
Hi, does it means that all the accessories (eg: case) on the 2020 works with the 2022 version?
yes
Why would they call it the same thing?
Will the version 2020 receive android 13
Where do I get replacement pens. My son broke mine.
How many updates will the 7S Plus get?
What's the wallpaper for the s6 original 😁
All I want to know is if this has the annoying yellow screen tint. I got an s7 fe and returned it the same day because of that orange yellow hue. It's absolutely unacceptable.
Wait Ivan, are your palms so big or the Tabs are really small?
They're 10.4 inches
😂🤣
how long get the 2020 version updates? (i have 1 from 2020 and dont know how long it be safe)
I'm very curious to know how could you tell the difference on the new version the reason why I ask I just purchased one for my daughter and I don't know if I have 22 or the 20 model?
The model number/name tells you which one it is
Does the SM-p613nzaexac (128GB) or SM-P613NZIAXAC (64GB) include a sim card slot? I'm getting so many mixed answers lol. Thank you!
Had my eye on a S6 Lite to use for content streaming and general home office use. Nothing too intentive. Would the 2020 version still be a good buy?
Yup
I have one: GREAT buy
If the Tab S6 Lite 2022 sold for $250-$300, it would of been Solid Mid-Range Tablet and a capable competitor to the IPad. But for $400, the S6 Lite 2022 is simply overpriced
Totally agree!
@Royal Carter which country?
$250 actually should be the Standard Price of the Tab S6 Lite 2022. The price justifies the amount of features on the tab
I watch sumsung tabs6 on RUclips every day but I can not afford to buy
I am from India. Saving around 270 dollars when compared to S7+. My main use is media consumption and also as a Power bank for my mobile. What should I do?
I think this won't support reverse charging for phones
@@Joshanpeter I don't use reverse sharing. I use wired charhing solution
If you have limited options and it’s priced fairly, go for it. But if you have other choices, like the FE or the regular s7, consider them
@@IvanKam11 S7 is priced almost twice in comparison to S6 lite 2022 edition in India.
Does the 2022 version support wired DeX?? I read that it has the new 3.1 usb c so it's technically possibile
No
How can I Know If they sent me the 2020 or 2022.?Just pay for the 2022 but i am wonderimg if I get WhatsApp I paid
Do both the tablets have 256gb for their storage?
Thanks, Ivan
How to change wallpaper in this tab??
Got a deal of brand new 2020 version for $220 should I go for it?
Yup
Hi Ivan!
I have the 2020 version of the S6 lite. However, my tablet keeps rebooting itself when I perform very light multitasking.
Have you heard of this problem?
It is becoming a nightmare
Will be resolved with software update
That’s interesting, haven’t heard anyone highlight it. What firmware are you running? Are you up to date on everything? Check to see if there isn’t an update waiting
just do a factory reset
@@IvanKam11 Yes it is up to date! I performed two factory resets as someone suggested, and now it works fine! (I had the same problem after performing the first factory reset, so I decided to perform a second one) . Thank you very much!
What's the difference between redmi pad
how about phone capability?
They have this local at best buy $299 then they have a s6 lite 2020 version used like new at best buy $195 ugh
Do you know when the ultra tablet will be in 5g for the states
Not really sure
I just got it today and installed cpuz and there the spec says it has snapdragon 732G while online everyone says it has snapdragon 720G why is that
Same. I'm guessing 720G is now obsolete.
Hello! Any thoughts on between Samsung Tab S6 Lite 2022 and Xiaomi Mi Pad 5?
best notetaking tablet for a college student with a college student budget?
Yes
One note
