Congratulations!! I’m also transitioning out of the the Air Force for the same reason. I just feel like there is so much more to life then the military and I want to explore and figure out who I am more! This journey is scary but exciting. Blessings to you!

I think I will cry too. I will leave at ten years of AD and planning on finishing the next ten years in the reserve or guard. The army is rough as we both know, but I know you and I would be lying if we said we didn’t meet some of the most amazing people and were able to have awesome experiences. I’m a AG SSG and I very ready to leave the S1 and go to school!

Please continue to take us, esp. us civilian OGs who loved your military/life stories that uploaded every Sunday, on your new journey. I can't say, I've been around since 2016, but close. I get it - one door has to close, so another will open - which is kinda part of the civilian work-life-style. Welcome to civilian life! And yes, one day, your dream, to become a bigger celebrity/actress/creator and see your name in lights, will come true. .I am counting down the days for you take off & go to LA/NYC. God has you and you have an heavenly angel that is watching over you. Much ❤ & respect always. Thank you , our favorite Captain.👏

I really thought I wanted to stay in the Army too. I thought being an AG officer was my dream. However I am such a fluid, free spirited person and one of the biggest reasons I am getting out is because of this exactly. I don’t feel like I am free to express my true self in such a political position as an AG officer. I love the job and how many lives I’m able to touch but I also need to think about me. Thanks for this video.

Just curious, instead of getting out completely why don’t you do the reserves? You keep the same benefits plus as an O3 you’re getting paid quite a bit for just one weekend.

    • @LIFEOFLESLIELATRICE

As i explained in my video, being in the Army period would impede on my ability to accept certain opportunities outside of the Army, that I would otherwise pursue if not serving. Reserves/NG are great options, just not for me at this time.

Yea that makes sense. Also it’s a really good idea to file a VA claim. With 8 years active duty you’ll definitely receive some kind of rating.
