Why are they giving another spin-off the show was never about his brother, it was about him Sheldon that's why they got this spin off to talk about his childhood.

Well in season 11 of TBBT, Sheldon was around 37 years old. If he truly has not spoken to Georgie for exactly 10 years then he was around 27 at that time. This is also around the time TBBT's timeline begin, so there are still like 10 years where they still keep in touch with each other. I think for the new spinoff, the show would showcase a slow, gradual declination of relationship between them instead of "father's dead, I'm leaving, I'll never see you again"
that would not be in keeping with Sheldon's comments in TBBT.

Oh god I hope not. He seems every bit as irritating and annoying as Sheldon. Its meemaw, Missie and even Mary we will miss. Sheldon was the least interesting and least likeable character. The show only became as huge as it did when they put him in the background and focussed on the others

@ArjunKing-bc6wc I love the show. And I think the fact that young Sheldon character was pushed to the back in the last couple of seasons proves my point . Same joke over and over. Sheldon decides on something irritating. Adults get exasperated. Sheldon acts in insufferable manner. Everyone rolls their eyes. Yadda yadda yadda.
