The only Possible way to catch Mew without TAS would be to Have the Master Ball Multiplier and be seriously skilled at keeping the ball on Mew's Head. COULD be doable, but very, VERY unlikely.

@@YEWCHENGYINMoe Eh, the odds of a player being able to play at the level of a TAS and being able to catch it are so low that I am not going to edit my original comment.
@@YEWCHENGYINMoe the point still stands, buddy, you can only catch mew with cheats (the timer would run out before you could get a chance to hit that many times)
I can't help but to notice the timer is frozen at 3 minutes. Seeing that this is frame perfect, it took 3:22 to capture Mew, does that mean it's impossible to catch it?
I wouldn't say impossible, iirc the hits in this TAS were registered every 3 or 4 frames. That was the best I was able to get with a few hours of effort, but I can't say for certain that's as fast as you can go. If you were able to reduce that to 1 or 2 frames you could catch mew in well under the time limit. Dobbs said you had to hit mew 1024 times in 3 minutes to catch it right? I did the math to see if Dobbs was right. I subtracted the time in the video when mew appeared and was able to get hit with the ball (0:18) from the time mew was surrounded by smoke (meaning he was about to get captured (3:31)) and I got 3:13. This either means the person who caught the mew stopped the time in the game (which is likely and also means mew is truly impossible to catch) or Dobbs accidentally said 3 minutes (which is probably just as likely and also means Dobbs was proved wrong by this guy).
