Can you explain the logic behind the bulbs?

The numbers will turn green when that number of adjacent bulbs (up, down, left, right) are white, otherwise they will be red.
- Yellow bulbs are considered off.
- Each horizontal and vertical line can only have one white/lit bulb. These lines are interrupted by the numbers, and empty sockets. Attempting to turn on (to white) a second bulb in a the same horizontal or vertical "series" will turn that bulb red/invalid.
