Since people talking about resource node placement still as if it matters The first one you make takes 170 seconds to pay for itself. The second one takes 191 seconds to pay for itself if you also count it making the previous one give you less generation and it continues to get worse from there.... The third one takes 213.75 seconds to pay for itself... The fourth takes 237.5 seconds to pay for itself Once you get to your 7th or 8th resource node youre looking at waiting several minutes for them to pay for themselves, once you get fully discovered and sieged you likely don't have several minutes and you should be aggressively placing down yellow nodes faster than the crew can kill them. But if you want to be perfect, place your resource nodes in an even grid-like formation, factories that you plan on making a blobbernaut from shouldnt be placed efficiently they should be placed safely since those tiles are worth 104 res.
Very good guide but you really should up the volume a bit, I couldn't hear your voice much. Also there are two things missing in your guide for blob strategy and that is where to place the blob at the start, and what to aim and destroy in priority. For example I like to place near important machines like the gravgen on some maps, on other maps simply the least visited maint does the job well. About what to go for as blob and blobbernaut the first thing is APCs because if you destroy the local APCs then people can't recharge their e-guns, can't open doors without crowbars, can't see much without light, etc. After APCs you can break doors so they get bolted and cannot be opened, you can drag or order spores to the right spots, observe and notify your brethren about threats, and more. You'll never really be standing still doing nothing aside from the very early part before you're even spotted. Another tip I have is to try not to break into space, sure there will be no oxygen for the crew that want to fight you but anyone can find a firesuit or space suit easily so it's not worth it because engineers will place emitters in space very easily which you cannot destroy without making sacrifices.
Its hard to demonstrate the cause and effect of destroying important equipment on private server but i did mention alittle bit about it in the video description over manual expansions
Nice guide, thanks Makes. One more thing, maybe I 've missed it: is there any algorhythm to placing resource blobs? I seem to always mess up and use place inefficiently

You forgot an important tip. You should always make 4 nodes per core, in square shape
There is more to that i forgot to talk about a different strain you can exploit specifically for that ill make another video
Thanks for the tips. Audio balance is a bit off in some spots, but this was helpful.
people can have a bit of eardrums being blown out at 1:40 as a treat but i assume the ads will do that too.
he has a voice?!!
if anyone looked at my list of videos they could easily find my face too lol
@@underscorecow-gaming4486 HE HAS A FACE?!!!!!!!!!

voice volume a bit low
Ty for the advice never played blob but I always thought I’d flub the goop because of a lack of experience

Resource nodes you dont have to care about placing efficiently because of their massively diminishing returns you really dont want alot of them
We wait update for circuits teleport
