But I also want to ask about something related to The Processors that go over your ear, and because a buddy of mine, is 72 years old, and his hearing suddenly went from hearing ok, just last year in or around October or September, He had to get hearing aids, because In October of 2023 I say September, but I think it was October, anyway moving on, then after he got hearing aids, oh, I'm 66 in this coming October, and I was born with nerve damage in both ears, but My hearing was bad all my life, and still is. I wear 2 hearing aids, and can still hear barely without the aids. But anyway back to my buddy. After he got hearing aids, 2 months later, perhaps in January of 2024, he went completely Deaf, and we all thought that's weird. But this coming October, he will get both ears operated on for cochlear implants, and I hope it works out for him. I thought about me getting at least one anyway, but since I'm good for now, I don't know. Anyway, my real reason for writing you, is that, he has a decision to make, on which is the best of the 3 companies that make them. So we checked all 3 websites, and he seems to lean on the Cochlear Americas brand, but I don't know what to tell him except all 3 companies Will Brag about their Products. My question to you is this: The processor that don't have molds , will they fall off if you bow down, as if you were on stage, and bowing after singing? Because we don't want him to bow down over a toilet, and it fall into the bowl. or even a sink. Thanks for your time, sorry for such a long letter. Sincerely, Terry of north Florida. I would recommend talking to the audiologist about the bowing down issue. The combination of the ear hook and the magnet should keep the external processors in place. The strength of the magnet can be adjusted by the audiologist according to a person's needs. I hope this helps. Good luck to your buddy!
