    I've been investing, collecting, stacking, buying, and selling physical precious metals for many decades and we can agree on one thing at least "silver is silver and gold is gold". Good luck to anyone waiting on the gold and silver ratio to go as low as you were talking about in the video. For me I'm stacking about 70% gold, 25% silver and 5% in platinum and palladium. As you can see I believe in precious metals and their value. I also believe that Gold Is King but what do I know. Thanks for the video and have a great weekend....!!! Life is good.

    My take on this is the opposite of yours. When I first began in 2020, I watched countless YT videos with wonderful, dazzling displays of sovereign bullion coins and silver rounds before the camera similar to yours today. I immediately got started by filling a few tubes of rounds before finally getting my first sovereigns. I've been into filling mint tubes of each of the major six sovereigns ever since. Wish I'd never bothered with the rounds, and would gladly trade them for coins. My feeling is that the coins are going to be more liquid later, either for me or my loved ones who are stuck with my cache when I die. I want things easy for them. After acquiring too much silver to carry easily, I changed my focus to gold, and have been happy with the accumulation.

      LOL I followed this same path. The most important piece you mentioned is about your heirs. I regretted getting way too much variety. If I had it to do over I would still wait for sales, but I would have a much more focused list. Like you, I thought I would do only sovereigns. I think I’m going to stop worrying about my heirs and just make sure I don’t waste money on premiums. I just saw a FL dealer liquidate 11 100oz bars for .75 over. I’d stack only those if that price was unlimited.

      @getx1265 Год назад

      @@FelixTheCat69 I don't do bars at all except for a couple one oz art bars and a one and two oz cross. I like simple, so I've always continued with ASEs, just not as many, despite premiums and my gold acquisitions the past year and half. I'm older, so I'm hoping I'll never need to cash in any of my stack.

    Mostly agree with you about rounds vs sovereign coins but I think it depends on the situation. We live in a market driven society and demand plays a big part but I 100% agree about liquidity. But liquify is also impacted by demand. I needed to sell some of my silver and like many I overpaid for the AEs due to the premiums so I was trying to hold on to those but the LCS wanted the eagles because he could flip those quicker and. Make more profit. But also, I got more money for those over the rounds so 1oz is not 1oz :-)

    I went a different way with my stack by only following two basic rules, 1st rule, Always buy 2nd hand silver!, why?, 1st hand 2nd hand etc it's all silver, there's no tax (UK) and it's like opening a present on the unbox because its completely random what make/brand of coins/rounds/ bars you will get, I've had some really nice surprises in the past, 2nd rule, always go on the unit oz price irregardless of the total weight (10 oz, kilo etc) of silver you buy, (premium is everything), as the song goes, " Its all about the weight, about the weight, MORE PRECIOUS!" LOL, as for gold I did some basic research on platinum and found the historic ratio of gold : platinum was 2.5 : 1 and yet platinum is now valued at 0.5 : 1 so platinum was my diversity metal of choice, it just seems to have so much more going for it, well that's my 28 and a half pence worth, what do you think of my two simple rules, not sure if 2nd hand silver is tax free in America, drop a comment and let me know, great show by the way.

    I think everyone who stacks Hass to come up with the answer to the question of, what is the ratio I want between gold and silver. For me, I don’t say for every 100 ounces of silver I want 1 ounce of gold. What I say is in monetary terms I want to keep the dollar amount for both stacks about the same. I think that is what works for me and I’m comfortable with it. So if I spent $2000 on silver then I am going to try to spend $2000 on gold.

    I agree 100% with stacking silver, my biggest mistake is this...."I should have started 25yrs ago" countries go broke just thinking of USA n Canada. I have zero faith in either or n I'm a Canadian. so on that I prefer generic silver. I'm also not about "name brand", yet again when the fiat loses value.....then your precious coins AKA " sovereign coins". I'm new to staking except back in 2003, I purchased 2-1ounce silver for $19.99 each. then you think about now which is $10.00 price investment to what it is now. so once I put 2 n 2 together. n thank-you I recently watched a video from "silver stacker" about the different types of stacking. n end of the day I 100% agree with this, "SILVER IS SILVER" its the only thing that not even governments can control. buy no name generic. n you are very informative, n honestly, I've said this over n over n over n over again. "stack it n forget it" I'm not one for the government, I hate my government so for being a Canadian. enough said. I'm in love with silver like my 1st of anything. silver is shiny, silver is a "blue collars investment" not bragging rights, "silver 4Evr". as well silver may be a lower ratio then gold/platinum so remember this. silver is more scarce then both gold n platinum. on that which of the 3 are a green resource???? you never read or hear about gold/platinum in anything except store of value. their is 2 sides of silver that you didn't even mention n you should look into. honestly, silver is a 2 sided coin. you have the industrial side which is classified as "green power" then you have the public side which is your channel. it commercial side. this is why silver is so valuable. remember the part when I said it has a 1/8 valuation n yet it has more then just "store of Value" last but not least. "SILVER IS NOT CRYPTO CURRENCY. IT'S NOT AN OVER THE NIGHT GET RICH SCHEME" it'll take you at least another 20 yrs to get any real fiat cash money from your investment. I'm going to pick up another 15 1-ounce silver buffalo rounds in august. have a great night n yes I invested into BTC n yes I made 1 yrs net on blue collar wages. have a great night

    I am not disagreeing with you about rounds, but you left out a few points. Buy back price, liquidity/recognizability/demand (you touched on) , premium sales. Just using the site you referenced, SD Bullion, they pay $0.25 over Bid (not spot) for rounds, BUT they pay $1.75 over Bid (not spot) for Maples and $2.75 over Bid (not spot) for Eagles. So that difference in buy back needs to be factored in. I have also found sales on Maples to be as low or lower than rounds. And I because of those 3 factors (sale prices, liquidity/recognizability, and buy back price over bid) Sovereigns might the better option for some people.

    • @SilverStarEagles
      @SilverStarEagles  Год назад

      It's all relative. The buy back is higher on sovereigns because premium is higher when buying. In my opinion, you rarely recover the premium you spend on sovereigns unless of course you sell at a higher price that you bought. Or you just never sell (this is what I do).
