We are Marisa and David, Australian expats now living part-time in Chianni Tuscany.
During the Global Pandemic, we decided to buy our Italian dream home, sight unseen and with no prior knowledge of the area.

It's true that I love both places for different reasons but sometimes the distances or time apart is challenging but life always has its challenges and we make choices. Thank you my darlings...it's hard to leave a place you've grown to love and it's my only "true" home now, so I miss it immensely but I'm so glad to be here with mum as she needs me and I know I'm where I need to be right now. David and I are so happy to be together as it was too long apart! It's going to be a beautiful Christmas and New Year together with the children and then we can start to plan our exciting year ahead. After 7 months, I was totally in the rhythm of my life there and it's jarring to go backwards and forwards but that's just how it is for now. It's my home now, so I miss it when I'm not there and I know I feel better when I'm there. We both do! Our souls are happy there! Thank you so much for your lovely messages Sara! As always, it’s a beautiful video!! That little town is beginning to grow on me, so I’m gonna have to come for a visit one day I don’t know what century but I’m gonna have to one day!!😊 it is sad to lose a neighbor, especially one that you enjoy seeing all the time, I had the same situation happen here, my 82-year-old neighbor had to move out😢 let me know if she needs somebody to take care of her plants. I’m the plant lady.😂 I love plants!! Anyway have a great trip while you’re in Australia and take care!! Have a wonderful Christmas season🎄🎁

My neighbour adores he plants so she’s taking them with her, plus I’ve given her my indoor plants as she’s so good with them!
My other beautiful courtyard neighbours and I, have discussed how we might decorate the newly empty area with a lovely bench got us to all sit and chat on a warm summer evening and lots of new pots etc. I’m sure it’ll look amazing once we finish! Buongiorno! Thank you for watching and so glad you enjoyed it! Yes....soooo easy! Pontedera is easily reachable from Chianni and from there, it's an easy train trip to Santa Maria Novella Station in Florence with a great/easy connection on the Freccia Rossa (Fast trains) to Roma. So comfortable and easy. Train travel in Italy is awesome in my opinion. Just love the fast trains! 🥰🤗☺
