36:45 gave me an idea for a good good challenge- call your shot. You have to say what clubs you're hitting before you play the hole and then hit them no matter what. So if you call Driver->9i->Putter and hit it into a bunker on your second shot you still have to use your putter. Would work well as a bracket or knockout

Hi Garret, love the content brother. Question for you or just in general - why do low handicappers/pros hit fades/draws opposed to trying to hit the ball straight? I get why it's done when the contour/shape of the course demands it but I don't understand why it's done on say an open fairway with no impediments blocking the shot.

Loved having Steve in this video. He is so close to shooting mid 70’s once he cleans up his short game. He defiantly needs a breaking 80 series that will soon become breaking 75 for him.
I think his short game is the best part of his game, he missed 90% of greens here even with a wedge or short iron in hand wich tends to happen often when you swing so hard at everything that you have to catch yourself from falling flat on your face 😂
Watching Steve next to Grat I felt bad he wasn’t having a good round. When he finished with 80 I ran out of fingers real quick counting the difference between his and my own score from yesterday. And I felt good about my 92 😂

This was a great video. There were a lot of learning opportunities in addition to its entertainment value. I am a pretty mediocre golfer and in no position to analyze swings, etc. But I do wonder if Steve might be able find some improvement from two simple adjustments. One is a common issue with most players and has to do with club selection. We tend to think of our best shots when choosing a club which leaves us short when we do not hit that best shot (which we fall short of the vast majority of swings). If not short, then we end up pulling things left from over swinging. Second and probably more importantly, I wonder how much benefit, if any, Steve would gain by just slowing down during his pre-shot routine. Currently his pre-shot routine is to walk up to the ball and whack it. Lee Trevino was super fast (the fastest I ever saw among the pros) and yet I think Steve has cut Trevino’s pre-shot routine in half. Maybe a deep calming breath, a thought about ball position (up hill / down hill/ ball above or below the feet), and perhaps a practice swing or some visualization. It would add 5 seconds to his shot routine but that is not much. He’d still be among the fastest players on the planet. Just one hacker’s observations. Love all you guys and your channels. The more the better.

I think it was hole 3 Steve hit a 6 and didnt like it. It was a gorgeous swing. Usually his hat has to fall off but recreate that swing and he will be playing. I guess he was worried about clearing the busg but it was stung. Well played Garett
