Omg..I was born there..spent 16 years of my life there. There’s just no country like Oman. So beautiful, so down to earth , and the locals are the nicest you’ll ever find. Oh did I mention it has maintained a 0 terrorism index.. lots of love!❤️❤️
I went to Oman a few months ago and wish I got to spend more time in Muscat. I was only there for a few days and spent most of my time exploring the wadis and hiking Jebels Shams. This was my first time in the Middle East and I am definitely glad I didn’t let anyone talk me out of it.
That is a spectacular view of the town with the hills and ocean. Even though I have never been to Muscat, Oman before, not just its culture, but also cuisine and lifestyle are sensational.
As being from the middle east living in Europe, unfortunately people here in Europe doesn't know that much about this hidden gem of the world and they are still worry about taking this step and discovering the middle east. I think you should visit Jordan as well as we have one of the world's seven wonders and RyanAir & WizzAir fly from several airports in Europe direct to Jordan
Actualy Oman is quite well known in some European countries and also in Arab countries...Oman recieves several thousands of tourists yearly...there even are tourists who visited, loved it and then bought holiday property there.
how amazing! how is the life like ? I hope I don't bother by saying but inshallah I will be in the same situation soon, I'm of Mexican decent but my partner is from KSA 🇲🇽💗🇸🇦
Oman in december/january is perfect. Easy travle from Europe. Sunshine every day, Pleasant sea temperature, Shorts and T-shirt every day. Not too hot. Tropical fruits, coconut water, papaya etc. UAE is slightly too cold in december/january.
The term Middle East can mean more things. Of course it is a geografical place, but it consist so many different countries that you cannot judge the whole region by knowing one one or two of them. Especially because most of us hear the term Middle East from the news. And as such that is mostly associated with the troublemaker countries. It is like when you hear USA you can either visualize the nice mountains of Montana or a sh.tty getto in LA. Both are US and still what a difference.
Thank you so much for this great video! Would you recommend that I stay at the corniche? Or do you have other recommendations of places very walkable? I am a solo traveler and I do not want to drive either lol!
Very nice from you as usual. As for your question about English in Oman my guess is that it's because of tourism. Having been a British protectorate may also contribute to the phenomenon.
Expats are primarily the reason. Both Arabic and English are lingua franca since many if not most people are unable to speak in Arabic. English is also the language of business and higher acadamia. Literally over 40% of the population are foreigners so English is vital in the country, probably more than Arabic in many cases.
its also in english cause majority of population (which is not omani citizen) dont speak arabic . Its also the same in UAE (at least im dubai + abu dhabi) and i assume also in Qatar
@linda-jovi I live in the capital, Muscat, everything is available, the mountains, the beaches, and many beautiful places suitable for rest and relaxation
As an American, the entire Arab Middle East always seemed way far away and shrouded in secrecy, off-limits. There was reason to think that. The governments were autocratic and anti-western. So much has changed.
Seems nice....but their are A LOT of rules ! Y'all seem to be asking for permission to do stuff... a lot. Thanks for sharing though...it's very interesting.
Rather than rules it’s more of the culture, it’s good to research the culture of a country before visiting it. There are also laws about many stuff but if you’re a tourist and aren’t aware it’s more lax and you won’t get into trouble
Oman is great if you wanna stop by for a limited time vacation However, I advise you all to not move there... because there's a lot of Racism which people want to not talk about or avoid People are losing their jobs due to something called "Omanization" and the conditions for survival if you're a foreigner are very harsh In America , people can stand up to racism and even protest.... over in Oman people aren't even allowed to protest or speak for themselves... The Government supports locals and will do nothing for foreigners , I advise you all once again... go there for a Vacation but do not go there for Job opportunities or a "better life"...
Yes you was wrong Blondie woman because have one woman alone set in the middle center nof the earth 🌎 for us..but she his country not Oman his country Philippines. His province same Israel.

Omanisation is 30% and in some places 10%. Who does all the other jobs? Expats! Silly comment to make.

Nothing ruins travel more for the people around you then talking into a selfies stick. So narcissitic.
