@@milk_chemistry i had a transfer via PVG to japan last year and there was a staff member that led people for their connecting flights to the transit area, it was very straight-forward :) have fun
@@awwawawawa yo I saw that guy I had the later connection to Japan so I didn't get to go with him but other passengers did, I just used flight radar to tell me what gate to go to and the immigration was similar to my country
what food shops are in that terminal? i only saw a couple when i was there, but think i missed some because i read there's a burger king, but all the info i find is confusing
Im connecting to shanghai airlines flight to Bangkok from China eastern from gatwick..got 2 and half hours..wishing now id gone Thai direct for few hundred more...any advice welcome as it might be tight..
I was wondering if you baggage is check through or not. Because I will have an upcoming flight to Pudong for transit, but the airlines require me to claim my baggage and then check-in again. Also, in you case, did you apply for 24-hr transit visa?
Depends on how you booked the ticket. My bags went through to final destination. If you have to CLEAR immigration you will need Transit Visa. Where are you transiting to
@@rizabuenaobra6337 when i was there i had to re check my luggage but usually big airports like this have transfer gates where you don’t need to re check your luggage so maybe i just didn’t see it
Thank you, we will be there in 8th Jan 25 and this will help me, transiting is always a worrying time, some go easily some not so.
Thank you for this, it has put my mind at ease. I am travelling solo to Japan and have never done connecting flight
Please let us know if anything changed when you went to transfer!
Yo same and I'm panicking since like I don't know how they lay out the airports and stuff

Very useful video thanks for posting. How many minutes did the transit take?
About 1 hour depends how busy. Leave plenty of time
so you need to get back your luggage first , than go to the next flight?
There was no fingerprint scanning for me, in fact I went through a completely different area to you
The gap between landing flight and connecting flight is only 2.5 hour can i make it on time?
yes but it will be tight. Depends if same terminal building

How about if different airline?? Still need to re check luggage?
I think I will have the weirdest transfer here. I am connecting from Malaysia Airlines to American Airlines in December at PVG
Why weird?
@ typically PVG isn’t a connection point from Maylasia Airlines’s to American Airlines nor do they have transfer desks there
How did u get WiFi
