@@MiceAndRatEnrichment ye handling by the tail is only really acceptable if it is in an emergency, to save them from getting squished or something like that. really wish it wasn't as normalised as it is 🥲
@@georgiebidwell6069 It stems back to the way they were handled in research labs many moons ago. But there are as you probably know, numerous studies written now on its negative impact. How many mice do you own? I have … a lot 🤣 and two rats also. 😊
To pick up my mice i get my hand into a ball with 2 openings and then i like trapp them inside my hand without hurting them and then i make my hands flat so they can walk around
i have an issue, 2 out of 3 of my pet mice are getting quite chubby. the one mouse is active and loves the wheel however the others dislike the wheel. i’m not sure if it’s cause i’m feeding them too much or if there is something else going on.
If they are chubby all over it’s likely food, if it’s chubby in lumps or bumps it could be health related. Some mice prefer to climb and go through tunnels more than use the wheel, do they have lots of those sorts of options? 😊
Mice are so extremely sweet and social while around humans and all humans seem to want to use them for is odd experiments they can't use other humans for. It's sad
