Jay and Donald are exceptional on their own, but together, they are truly outstanding. Each brings a wealth of automotive knowledge and expertise. Gentlemen, thank you for sharing. 😇❤️
Really enjoying the last few A&C shows. Thanks for giving us this unexpected look at new shows with Jay and Donald. Keep them coming. A+ in every way....
I really do enjoy these segments... two very different people who both love automobiles while seeing them from slightly different perspectives. Also, two old friends who good-naturedly rib each other a bit, and two gentlemen who know a lot about automobiles and can converse amicably about them. I hope they continue to bring us content such as this.
So glad to see these videos. Mr Osborne has forgot more than we will ever learn. And he's a major class act. I have learned a lot from this series of videos.
Jay’s comment about new car height reminds me of what I told the Mrs recently. With the big wheels and two box SUV styles we are all driving 1930 Model A’s again!
We bought a M5 in Gibraltar in 1988. Drove it all over Europe for over 200,000 miles. Lots of 100+ MPH trips on the motorways. My girlfriend’s brother totaled it on the Elisabeth bridge. He claimed the brakes were “wrong” when he locked it up on black ice. Later it came out that the only other car he had ever driven was a Trabant.
@@michaelopere5424 You have to remember that America has completely different standards for vehicles than everywhere else in the world. It has always been that way and unfortunately it's not likely to change anytime soon.
This is such a great series gentlemen, thank you. It’s always a pleasure watching a couple of real car aficionados banter. An adult version of so much childish stuff out there. Thank you
Star turn for yours truly was your comment Mr Osbourne . Alfa Romeo was the orginal sporting sedan manufacturer . In the early 1960s Alfa were really class.
The E28 M5 was more of high-speed point A to B tool. That heavy lump upfront magnified the understeer issues. I sold mine when they weren't worth more than $15k with high mileage. I don't look back at it with any particular fondness except for the engine note at full chat, it was special.
Few years ago guy in found, original state, full workin' M5 in Spain for 5k. yeah, bit used. fully workin and givin. Same as this but Euro spec. 5k. I paid 4y ago 1,2k for 523 no rust. E39. Thats the point. Nice episode guys. Thanks.
Good evening Gentlemen . Well , l drove an M5 in the day and was very disappointed ! My close friend had a Ferrari 440 (?) Auto and loved it ! I much preferred my Series 1 4.2 XJ6 auto to the manual , that gearbox was so heavy and slow . As for the Mercedes ? Another friend had a 6.3 V8 but my goodness , didn't it rust ! Thankyou both 😊
Same, I’m sick of RUclips channels showing the kids the cars I’ve been waiting to buy. I keep getting priced out just before they fall into my price range.
I'm sad to hear Mr Osborne promoting automatics. I hate automatics. If I had the money to get a 400i I'd want a manual trans. I also don't mind the brown color. For those who were paying attention, when they were talking about the Mercedes, the editor decided to show the interior of the BMW. Thank you.
11:03 😂 “bucky the beaver look” Spot on! I always call it the MoleRat front end. My car has a Ferrari transmission 😏☺️ Ill take the 400i please. The colour (nothing beats a brown car!), the style, the sound, the soul, the passion and the whole experience…. As good as those germans may be, they’ll never match all that.
Hey Jay, I know I'm just some random commenter and idk if you'll even read this but Jay, I hope you are okay! Your mind is as sharp as a sword and I want you to stay strong, please take breaks. I know constantly having to correct Donald is annoying LOL jk, but remember to take time for yourself and enjoy life too! The show will be always be here when you want it and all of us fans are there for you no matter what!
They don't want to play Donalds' theme song apparently... Awww the heck with it, *Donald* - just belt out your theme song LIVE in the next one! I am enjoying this series with great friends Donald and Jay - but I hope all are well in both camps, too. - Ed on the Ridge
I take the Mercedes 8 days a Week. This build-series - the W124 - is most likely the best car in the world of cars. And the 500E - or E500 which it is called sometime - is the best modell in this W124-serie. Super expensive today (winter 2024) so I could easy choose an E400 (also V8) or even an E320/E300 (straight 6) also.
The Ferrari Pinin was a good looking car in 1980 but it was really doomed from the start. The concept was to use a front-mounted flat 12, not a V12 as Donald says, and that made it a bit of a packaging nightmare. Only one was built and that didn't have a real motor. 25 years later this concept car was made road-worthy with a BB512 engine and significant suspension and running gear changes, eventually running for the first time in 2010. I understand it's now residing in California.
This series about cars in the Audrain Auto Museum is really interesting. But wouldn't it make more sense for Jay to fly to Rhode Island to film a bunch of episodes instead of shipping a bunch of cars to Los Angeles?
Sorry guys, to contradict all the encomiums below, but you wasted the opportunity to capture how truly special the M5 is. That engine is not the "legendary BMW (SOHC) straight six", it's the M1 engine! It was lifted directly from the M1 which was designed and purpose built for serious racing. Drive the M5 and you'll experience the heart and lungs and sizzling spirit of a thoroughbred. Subsequent M5's paled in comparison. The engine in the 500, while awesome, feels more production derived.
I love Jay Leno and Mr Osborne, I hope they take care and protect care of each other and their collections and themselves
I respect your opinion and high regard for these two gentlemen, but I believe these machines, like myself were built to drive fast and take chances🦊
@ as Jay and Mr Osborne have, they loved and cherished these cars when they were worthless
Jay and Donald are exceptional on their own, but together, they are truly outstanding. Each brings a wealth of automotive knowledge and expertise. Gentlemen, thank you for sharing. 😇❤️

Love these two together. They must go back decades.
Three fabulous automobiles, Jay Leno and Donald Osborne. Excellent!
The dynamics and the knowledge between Jay and Donald is great. they know their stuff.

11:01 finally! This topic was brought to light! What a relief!! Loved the old BMWs, the E30 & E39 being my favs, but the modern ones look crazy…
So glad to see these videos. Mr Osborne has forgot more than we will ever learn. And he's a major class act. I have learned a lot from this series of videos.

The late Bruno Sacco should have been mentioned, in honor of his work.
RIP Mr. Sacco.
W124 500E/E500/E60 total 10,479 units produced.
Dont forget the W126 (the S-serie) and the ”Baby Benz”, the 190. Also Bruno Saccos design.
Thanks Jay❤️ This was when beemers and mercs were great cars

You dumb for letting any other man drive your car 🤡
I’ll take one of each. These were dream cars of mine back in the day.
European M5's bumpers are some much better looking than US versions
I drive a 2016 Touareg which is brown on brown :)
It's the same with the Mercedes where the bumpers are standard, but the European headlights are better looking, than the US versions.

This M5 has the E12 headlight cluster
you interactions are superb, loving this series
Wonderful Dapper Don!
You're awesome Jay.... but that there Donald... what can we say.... what a legend
Love that M5.
Best show on the internet by far. Can't wait for the next episode. No one talks cars like Mr. Osborne.
I do like this three-car format.
One of the cars I’ve really lusted after in life has been the E28 M5 and I love seeing Jay look at one.

I love these segments! Beautiful cars and would have loved to see them driven. Maybe next time.
I really like this show, Donald is perfect, and you guys are great together, the burns! Oh, the burns
Clicked on this one thinking I was going to see Mr Osborne celebrate the Rover SD1. Oh well. Still great 😅
Love these shows, it's great to see you two try to out car guy one another. Two automobile aficionados going head to head, don't stop 😊
Star turn for yours truly was your comment Mr Osbourne . Alfa Romeo was the orginal sporting sedan manufacturer . In the early 1960s Alfa were really class.
I think the 70's Mercedes 280se 4.5L was the beginning of the Performance Sedan as a class. They are still awesome cars.
If it's any consolation Jay, I agreed 100 per cent with your assessment!!
What a well spoken and knowledgeable team. Loved the content.
Wow, 3 cars that I actually like all in one episode!
That looks pretty magnificent cars and stories too
👍🏁😎 very much enjoy this series, please continue making more A & C Programs
With these two together, I get Jamie Hyneman & Adam Savage vibes. Two somewhat complimentary yet different perspectives I both appreciate.

loving these episodes, remembering the "what's my car worth " sketches
Love these, keep them coming.
Looking good today Jay! Good to see. Donald too or course!
❤️ 500E ❤️
First glance i thought the Ferrari was a rover vitesse
That's the reason I clicked on the video 😂 Thinking it was an sd1
Me too - I think it was the muddy brown colour that did it :) That was a British Leyland favourite back in the day.
On thumbnail, me too
You are absolutely right. Is has the same design features.
Who’s here for the 500E?
Roger that!

Woah! That silver arrow! Mercedes during that era was amazing. Never been a Bmw fan, m3 and m5 just didnt have enough to get my intrest
1989 325is, all-time favorite car to drive
Noooo. Not the 412. I was hoping no one spoke on this car to keep the prices low. 😢

Jay, We always want to watch. Great show 🏁
Nice to see an E28 M5 as well the other 2 gems. After watching even with my BMW bias it was hard to make a choice as to which one to take.

Knowing his “relationship” with Ferrari, that ending was funny

500E is the best of that bunch. Build quality is fantastic, way better than the BMW.
I’m shocked how good this is. You’ve really mastered your craft.
Question for Jay, why do you close the hood from the side? Not healthy on the hood springs especially on older cars. Equal pressure in the middle..
What a pack 👌

I regret it sometimes.
