- Do you remember Antprilia from last year? The rider that taunted me then got gapped. Well, he seems to have picked up a lot of speed since last year. He Gaps Me on his new Aprilia. On board BMW S1000RR.
I don’t have any animosity against Max Wrist, I just don’t accept stickers from anybody. For all the trolls , I’ve always been very fast, I had issues with my other Rsv4. I just couldn’t get the hang of that bike at the dragon, but the 4 tracks days I did it was perfect! My 2nd Rsv4 in this video is dialed in and only thing done Is exhaust and tune! I just started my riding season, I’m not even at 75% yet… and for the record I don’t just beast on the dragon, I’m fast wherever I ride, come ride with me…. Now I am up there working on getting myself back to 100%.
And I decided to lose weight because I was getting a dad bod, I’m not about that fat life!!!

Great riding both of you! Max, happy you recognized when you were gapped and were making mistakes and backed off. For any new riders watching this, if you are cutting corners to keep up, bad things are sure to follow.

Lol. I definitely didn’t get my feelings hurt by any means. I was discouraged that I was receiving a lot of negative comments and I wanted to show everybody my previous aprilia had suspension issues I couldn’t figure out why. But once I got my new aprilia it was game changer.. I didn’t do anything different than I already been doing.. I just got started my season when I ran into max on this video!

Nope, actually my season just started a couple days before this video. I work so I don’t get to be up there daily like max, he’s been up there daily since march. I have no beef with max at all, he makes good content, I’m trying to do the same!!

There was a lil tension because all year ppl were talking negative about me on max’s page so I was ready to ride and show everybody I’ve always been real fast!! Max and I are cool.

@@Antprilia. I was replying to Chris Marczyk, I can definitely see that you know how to ride. In the earlier videos you were "riding" your front wheel, early apexing, and running wide. Now you are looking "through" the corner and hitting your entry, apex, and exit smoothly.👍

I don't know why I couldn't get the hang of that bike,but the suspension on the one I ride now feels soo much different compared to my previous rsv4 I ride now. Something was definitely up with the suspension! This bike is perfect!!!

Mistakes start to occur when we push beyond own minds ability. My .02 = he’s been club racing and the APE chassis is superior to the BMs power.

The BMW S1000rr may be the best overall street supersport but those Aprilia chassis' were touched by the hand of God. Nothing like em.

No, Aprillia do not make the best chassis. Ducati do. The reason he gapped Max was twofold. First, these are the closest thing Americans have to our plentiful European twistys, and Italian V twins and V4's have a significant torque advantage coming out of curves with short straights in-between compared to 4 cylinder japanese machines and the BMW, which is to all intents and purposes BMW's steal of the best japanese 4 cylinder sports bikes. Secondly, the kid on the Ducati monster gapped Max much more convincingly a while back , Antprillia got some breaks here due to traffic and Max's mistakes.

Dude was on pace on cold tires. I think the initial pace surprised Max Wrist and he stiffened, it was all over from the get go. Also Max’s corner speed aint great so he relies on the BMW’s power using low gears and high revs, it slows him down too much every time he rolls off the throttle losing momentum and getting left in the dust. Max needs to learn to ride with momentum that means practicing sam the patch of road over and over.
Yeah, I’m on my couch watching, thinking the same thing. 😀 That S1K has a setting for engine braking and I think you’re right, dial it back a couple clicks to see how that feels. It’s really early in the season to play with settings there too, so he’ll be dialed up soon enuff

Does your bikes handle the same? My first one I don't know why but I felt weird at the dragon, I could never get my speed back riding it, but perfect on the track. The one I'm on now is same year and everything but has exhaust and mapped handles completely different. Definitely stronger of course since pipe and mapped, but sooo perfect at the dragon, suspension feels soo dialed in, I havent taken it to the track yet but I know it's going to feel even better than my previous rsv4.

Lost weight, no sticker, new bike, probably 1000’s of laps after ur departure last year, looking forward to a 2022 rematch. I think wristy is faster coming up the hill so it should be run back and forth a few times with alternating leaders. Dude looked extremely fast though, might need to hit gym in offseason. Get that endurance on point. Seem to be searching for air a bit more than your adversary.

Wrist is "B" group rider, while Aprilla is an "A" group rider. Aprilla knows corner entry and exit, while Wrist is all over the place.

I wouldn't say it was just all mistakes why you got gapped.. he obviously has been doing track days and practicing A LOT bc he pulled away very very quick. there's no shame in saying someone is better then you. when I had my 99R1 for about 4 years into my 4th year I was probably one of the better riders out of our whole group.. then one day a couple of new peeps showed up to hang out and go ride with us..one of them was a girl that was probably 2 years older than me at the time and she was riding up CBR 600 I think at the time a 2001. well needless to say she made every single dude in our entire group look f****** stupid including me. So look on the bright side at least it wasn't a girl on that Aprilia that smoked you lmao

I religiously run Michelin power cup 2's or michelin slicks, those are my 2 favorite tires and I've ran a lot of different brands.

The BMW simply does not have the handling or the torque out of short corners like Italian bikes such as Ducati or Aprillia for such twistys. The BMW's power band is higher up, and hence the disadvantage. For what it's worth, the kid on that Ducati monster that gapped you would show Antprilia how it's done, too!
