5:36 It’s crazy on this action how the Kirzigh wreslter didn’t broke his knee while he still defending. As a sport physio i still doesn’t understand how this still possible 😮😮
Americans REALLY need to learn Greco. Yall do this 15 years olds inside trip like since 1988. You not suprise anyone with this except other americans. 😂
It's weird to not see Lee consistently NOT finish his shots on an opponent. He got lucky a couple times that he didn't get thrown in those tie ups. I'm wondering if part of that's an adjustment to freestyle that he has to make, but hats off to the wrestler from Kyrgyzstan. He defended and worked his ties really well. I do like how when Lee got the takedown in the first, someone in the crowd yelled "give two and a half" and the mat ref couldn't hold back a huge smile to that comment. Hearing the mat ref's explanation to I'm assuming the table ref that he wanted to give both wrestlers a warning about grabbing fingers because they were both doing it was some nice information. Trying to be consistent with the calls. Also why is it that the same graphic stuck on multiple videos? Desanto's semis match, Lee vs Lugo and this final (if not more) all had this same 5-0 with 8 seconds left in the first graphic stuck on the screen.
@@falty2580 Saw this comment and went to watch some of his greco matches. Only to discover that you're completely wrong. He's a freestyle wrestler. In fact he's the 2022 U23 Asian Championship gold medalist and the 2022 U23 World Championship silver medalist at 61kgs. In Freestyle. For proof here's him in the finals of the U23 Worlds: ruclips.net/video/CvnYErDCvmA/видео.html. See that "FS 61" under the clock? That stands for Freestyle. Or just watch the match, and note all the leg attacks. So he's actually an elite freestyle wrestler, and this is by no means his first freestyle tournament. However based on his style and background I bet he's been doing Alysh since he was a little kid. Alysh is the Kyrgyz folk wrestling style, where you start in, and have to continuously maintain, an over-under bodylock with belt grips, and try to throw from there. Unlike greco it allows foot sweeps and trips, which is why he was able to effortlessly counter Lee's inside trip attempt for the tech. Here's a vid of an Alysh tournament: note the similarities to his style: ruclips.net/video/1ol7LuEIigM/видео.html
I like Nick Lee and always thought he had a great style for folkstyle wrestling, although I was always apprehensive about how it would transition to freestyle. Good for him though for putting himself out there… I’m sure he’ll get better in the tie ups. The other wrestler… Hats off to him, he certainly was better upper body and exposed that in Nick… But Lee will improve… I like watching him wrestle, he’s someone I root for!
Nick Lee shouldn't try to lock up with a short wrestler with leverage nick Lee is a better wrestler but this guy was good on his lock ups if they wrestled again nick would beat him nick is a smart wrestler good job on both making the finals
He just got teched but he's the better wrestler? Hes smart to want to work on his ties tho. Not sure if his style of folkstyle will transition over well to freestyle.

Never saw Lee get worked before. That guy from Kyrgyzstan was very good.
Phulka and Quinton have been stuck wrestling all day it looks like. Hope they get that match sorted out.
fucking stupid usa wrestling
Wow! There are some very talented unknown names in this world
Nick really made a statement his last two years as a finesse wrestler. This type of wrestling though is more about power.
Glad he went out there and tried stuff. That’s how you actually get better. Hope he isn’t too quick to move away from this style of wrestling
because freestyle is the best.
@@muzzyjk freestyle isnt even top 3 wrestling styles.
@@nategalvan3907 Says who? Senior freestyle is the highest level of wrestling in the world.
@@muzzyjk what do you mean? Zhumashbek Uulu didn't use freestyle, he used greco though it was a freestyle match.
Wow he overpowered and rag dolled Nick. Plain and simple Nick would initiate the tie up then get thrown. Nick will adjust for sure.

That Kyrgyz wrestler is an elite Greco Roman wrestler this is his first freestyle tournament
@@falty2580 Ah okay that explains why he was so adept at throws. Lee kept going right into his wheelhouse. Good on Zhumashbek.

He didn't expose weakness in upper body. He's Greco Roman world medalist you just don't go upper body with that dude
Nick looked lanky and slow compared to his opponent. Unless he improves his power (work/time), he loses this type of match up, every time.
2:00 how is that back exposure on Blue
Because his opponents american.
I like how the wrong names and score has been on the graphic for all the matches.
Lee choked, got rattled after that first throw. Upper body not his forte clearly. Lost to a much smaller dude, he’s much better than he showed here.

Got rattled? Really? Then why did he keep tieing up
