The four ashramas or stages of life are meant for the attainment of the four purusharthas or human goals mentioned in the previous four episodes. The first stage of life is brahmacharya or studenthood. This is characterised by simple living and dedication to service and acquiring knowledge. The story of Satyakama, the son of Jabala has been chosen to carry this concept. Satyakama had an intense desire to study the scriptures but nobody in town was ready to accept him as a disciple. One day, when he sees Sage Gautama on the banks of river Ganga, he falls at his feet and pleads for knowledge. When Gautama inquires about his father and lineage, he runs to his mother to find out. Jabala, his mother, truthful as she was, informs him that she is unaware of who his father was, as she had a relationship with many men. She asked him to inform Gautama Rishi that he is the son of Jabala, so he was Satyakama Jaabaala. Satyakama does so without any hesitation. Impressed by the commitment to truth, Sage Gautama accepts Satyakama as his disciple in spite of all odds.

ये सभी कहानी के रूप में बचपन मे मेरे दादाजी से सुनी है आज में 50 वर्ष की हु सभी कहानी भूल चुकी थी जब से मैने उपनिषद गंगा के एपिसोड देखने शुरू किए है रोज मुझे मेरे दादाजी याद आते है में मेरे माता पिता भाई बहन सभी जमीन पर बोरी बिछा कर शाम को खाना खाने के बाद उनके पास बैठ जाते थे और दादाजी खाट पर बैठ कर रोज सुनते थे रोज एक कहानी जो में अभी देख रही हु
मुझे आज महसूस हो रहा हे मेरे दादाजी कितने ज्ञानी थे रामायण महाभारत भी श्लोकों सहित याद थी उन्हें ओर वह रोज हमे सिखाते थे सुना कर
मुझे मेरे दादाजी पर गर्व है

समय के साथ सब बदले है है खान पान शिक्षा यही सब देख के कुछ लोग इस घोर कलयुग में भी धर्म को नही छोड़ेंगे ज्ञान लेनेके लिए सामने वाले को भी ज्ञान होना चाहिए अपने गुरु के प्रति सरल रहे और ये ज्ञान स्कूल में नही मिलते अच्छे आचरण से मिलते है

जन्मले तो सभी शुद्र होते है किंतु अपने अपने कर्म अथवा संस्कार से श्रेष्ठ होता है और जो ब्रम्ह को जनता है वही ब्राह्मण है और दिसते ब्रम्ह को जान लिया वह ब्रम्हरुप ही हो जाता है
और इस कथा एक अच्छि बात = जो हमे मुक्त करे वही विद्या है
सत्य कथन
ब्राह्मण एक उपाधि होती थी जैसे डाक्टर इंजीनियर आदि पर बाद में ये उपाधि जाति में बदल गई और अब ये के जो ब्राह्मण के घर पैदा होगा वोही ब्राह्मण होगा कर्म चाहे कितना भी नीच हो इसलिए हमारे समाज ने उपाधि को जाति में बदल दिया

The thing is these upanishads teach about not to disciminate through such stories. It tells that there is a Brahmin at every corner of the world and we aquire knowledge from our surroundings. but still everyone blames Hinduism and Brahmins for the discriminations! If manusmiti was written by Brahmin then upanishads is also written by Brahmin and Bhagavat Geeta too.
