- Today I have created this UPDATED natural, fluffy eyebrow tutorial for you! Bushy brows are all the rage after the infamous Soap Brow trend that took over the past couple of years, so I wanted to share a tutorial on how to achieve this laminated brow look. This method and the media used are ideal, in particular, for those who have sparse eyebrows as the pen enables to you create realistic hair-like strokes that a pencil just can't achieve.

This is what my eyebrows looked like when I use to get feather 🪶eyebrow tattooing done ( Sophy my eyebrow technician moved far away from me, and I never trusted anyone else to do eyebrow tattooing on me again!! Sophy came so highly recommended to me by a friend of mine, she also did Australian celebrities (so I knew she would be good)
Back then (approximately 5/6 years ago) I had barely any eyebrow hair, I have since grown it all back… since Then I have been looking for some great products to use. Will be ordering what you used in this video!!

Love this! And i actually have that Urban Decay brow product, same color, although my hair is darker than yours. Ive never been able to master the feathery brow though, so maybe after watching you i will have better luck. My tail end is almost non existent... im 42 and with age that end has become so sparse. I remember in high school having such big bushy brows, and back then it wasnt "cool" to have thick brows like that. So thick that to me it even made my forehead look *too* small. Looking back, that wasnt at all the case lol but since it wasnt what was in at the time, i over plucked to have thin and skinny brows.😬 They never really have ever been the same since then unfortunately.

This video was very helpful! I never thought about coating the hairs backwards first, but it makes so much sense bc I always felt like some of my hairs wouldn't feel like they had any product on them! This technique ensures that they do! & the trick with the eyebrow pen not dispersing product in the middle helps save product & last longer & overall creates a more polished look instead of an overfill boxy brow. 😁 I love it!

I have worn glasses for years, and they disguised my sparse, thinning menopausal brows... But after cataract surgery, I only need readers ... And my non existent brows and lashes that are so short that I cannot even grab them with a curler! 😱

This tutorial is just what I've been looking for! I don't wear makeup and didn't want to purchase stuff I know I'm not going to use. Absolutely, use the ABH brow pen in place of the UD one. I have created a similar tutorial using the ABH pen here on my channel.

The ABH Brow Freeze made my eybrows weak and caused them to fall out! Loved the fluffy effect though. Is it worth trying the Hourglass one or might it also cause the same hair loss prob? Thx ❤

Love this but by the end of a working day, they get blurred with my oily skin. Any recommendations? Even "setting spray" doesn't seem to do the trick
Try powdering your brows before you use the pen, dust off the excess so it doesn’t clog the tip of the pen, you’ll get more defined lines and will hopefully last longer. You could also powder them throughout the day to soak up the oils.

Ugh. I swear in the last couple of years I can't do my brows anymore. Or maybe I never could. I'm so frustrated with them i swear all of a sudden they are uneven. Like one is significantly higher than the other. I'm losing my mind and I swear stencils don't exist anymore. 😩

Hi Shonagh, because of your gorgeous brow tutorials, I've bought/tried UD Cool Cookie brow blade TWICE...(from Sephora) and found the pen end to be decidedly green. The testers in-store at Ulta and Sephora were green, too. The cool cookie pencil side is exactly the right tone + depth of colour for me, I'm just so confused as to why your pen looks cool brown and mine looks straight-up-Kermit.
Haha, Kermit 🐸 that made me giggle! Okay, so greenish shades pull cool tone brown-ish on the right skin tone. On the wrong skin tone it’ll pull more green. SUQQU do a fabulous one for mature skin types with grey hairs and this is a Moss Green shade, it works perfectly with mature hair shades but not on younger skin with colour to their hair. In recent years they changed the name of the pen from Moss Green to a number instead as I think it put people off, understandably. So, in short, it might just not work well with your skin tone sadly. Have you tried Neutral Nana, or Taupe Trap?
@@ShonaghScott Yes! The formula of UD Brow Blade is sensational but the colours of the pen side turn funky, Neutral Nana goes red, Taupe is too light. By default, because it's the only shade that's consistently cool-toned, I have to use Dark Drapes, even though it's slightly too dark for me.(We can't get Suqqu here in New York.)
So intimidating, but I’m going to try until I get it right.

Thanks for the tips but too much fuss- however that first product you used looks like my mascara primer- on my dual ended mascara. I can use that for my brows! 😊I’ll just use my eyeliner brush and brown shadow as usual lol

Great video and your brows look gorgeous BUT…..I detest that Urban Decay pen/pencil. Cool cookie turns greenish. NYX is way better and much cheaper. Anastasia’s is also much better and both have nicer more natural colors. Mac also makes a decent one. I’m talking about the ink part not the pencil part. That green oxidation with the Urban Decay ink colors is unacceptable
I’ve had about 10 of these pens over the years and not a single one has turned green for me. I’ve heard someone else say they had the same experience but I’ve never had it, nor has my twin sister. A shame that’s the experience you’ve had, in my opinion it’s the best pen as the nib is fine and it lasts ages. The NYX colour options wasn’t ideal for my brow colour, I did a review here on my channel - it’s nice but just wasn’t the same as my UD one.
I have reviewed the MAC one here on my channel two, was a firm favourite for years until this colour came out by UD, and I also reviewed the ABH one but again, their colours ran too warm or dark for me.
Do you put foundation on before or afterwards? How do you avoid getting clumps of foundation in with the brow gel?
I prefer to do my foundation first but I’ve seen a lot of people do theirs afterwards. I don’t like that method because you end up with a line around your brows.

Are your brow hairs coarse? They appear to be, mine are coarse and unruly and it’s hard for me to find products that will give that type of hold. I’ve been wanting to try the Iconic London product, that’s why I’m asking. The Benefit brow products have quite bizarre, warm-ish undertones to most of their shades, I wish they would expand on the cool tones.
No, my brow hairs are very soft, this stuff is really great but for coarse hairs I usually use this Iconic London product first then once I’ve penned them in I’ll set the clients brow again with the Benefit Clear Brow Gel.

After watching this I went to get the urban decay eyebrow pen thingy, same color.. Made my eyebrows look green😂 how are hers not green??
That could be down to how it appears next to the shades of colour that make up your own skin tone. Sometimes cooler shades on certain skintones can pull more green or more ashy. Maybe you would be better with Neutral Nana.

I love this tutorial but I haven't been able to find urban decay products in my town to try out the colours. Where can you find this product in person in the UK? The Boots here doesn't have it.

Really do love the way you do your brows, but I did notice that one eyebrow extends further past your eye towards the bridge of your nose than the other. I froze the frame, and there's a definite difference in length. You just need to make the other one a bit longer. or shorten the longer one.
They are naturally different in length and height - I was kicked in the face as a teenager and have scar tissue under the front of one eyebrow so they sit differently. But my eye shapes are quite different too so I fill them in as natural as possible to the shape they grow, as opposed to trying to correct them as it doesn’t fit with my eyes otherwise.
