Seeing Laura Ballance rocking makes me so happy.
She's the heart of this band. I'll fight anyone who says otherwise.
Superchunk is one of the few bands that still make me jump up and down because of the sheer rock n roll joy they generate..

ahhh. i remember back there in 1998, when i have the pleasure to be in a superchunk gig in belo horizonte, minas gerais, brasil. i wrote a quote based on a sonic youth's song (screaming skull) and i also asked them to play "for tension". i badly could believe when they start playing it. finishing the concert, mac and jon came to talk with me and friends. what a night! thank you. this clip/music rocks! love you !

I don’t know about criminal but what is weird to me is it in one hand literally I am watching and listening to this on a $1000 personal computer and I other hand my screen is locked such that I cannot scroll up to figure out the name of the song so it is both the best of times and the worst of times

I lived in CH in the mid 90s. I went to Northwoods high school. I remember going to Jordan Lake and seeing a lot of awesome shows. The cats cradle was fun. I saw some band called Hellbender. Pre internet. ❤

mike bosi i have. old days and new days......i saw them without Laura on bass....i was very sad. they are super nice. ive seen them like 6 times at least and i always talked with members before the show. really cool people.
+mike bosi I've seen them in each of the past 3 decades, and while 1994 Superchunk were different from 2001 Superchunk, who were themselves different from the 2010 version, they are always great. I've been lucky enough to talk to them on a couple of occasions, and even got my copy of "Incidental Music" signed at a small show in '99.
They're good. I saw them in Sept at DelunaFest but they were not this active live. Kind of just stood there. But still good.
