Tuning anything other than the normal scares the shit out of me. I can barely get it tuned normal, I probably play out of tune all the time

Get a tuner or and app that can detect pitch man.
Also if your using your ears properly you should be able to hear if you guitar is tuned or not.

@@heyits_cat8966could be your guitar. Maybe go to a guitar store and try to get it setup if some of the frets are out of tune when the open strings are in tune

a few tips I learned that helped through the years!
- Check how the guitar is strung up (the tension up there helps keep things in tune)
- When tuning, always tune UP to the note so it TIGHTENS (my ass JUST learned this and Ive been playing for 11+ years)
- If you're tuning to something different, always go back to the first string you started with and continue until its better in tune
If all that fails def take it to a local tech!
