Thanks for this!!! did help me out a bit! Just a question though, how were you able to play and edit at the same time? I need to edit a in the flow motion and then I can press a keyboard key in the computer to play and hear its sound. I'm using Studio One 4 by the way.
Unders i just looked up, and the NKS...just like Splice and Waves plug-ins. Just need to find the electronic instruments that suit me. The keyboard, I still need to look for one that suits for a beginner. Thanks for the quick reply!
I recently bought Flow motion. I have a problem, when i try to load presets, i usually get the exact same sound again. it seems to have troubles opening the preset patches. any idea?
The Waves Central app has a Repair function now. I needed to use it yesterday after the big Waves Update. The two Manny Marroquin plugins I have (Reverb & Delay) wouldn't load. I had tried all the refresh plugin options in my DAW and I was just about to raise a ticket when I noticed Repair. And Repair it did. It scanned ALL the Waves plugins, identified some error and reinstalled everything automatically. Previous suggestions from Support for another problem had been. "Oh, uninstall everything and start again". Ummm No Thanks. I sorted that one out another way. This auto Repair worked well yesterday I must say.
Good clear description. Thanks. I'm no stranger to FM or Yamaha style FM programming but I was getting a bit bogged with this at first, programming-wise. Very easy to get distracted by the presets ....
@@Unders Somewhere around here I've still got a Yamaha CX-5 music computer with the DX9 voicing. There was this mad FX sound they called Take Off. After all the emulated rocket screaming dies down there's this tail of zipper noise that rises out of nowhere, quite on it's own. That, with a 500ms delay on it would keep us spell bound in the studio (substances helped) as it seemed to go out of audible range right over the top and come back down again. I've tried to recreate that sound on different synths and plugins but I haven't achieved success yet. The efforts continue.
In my experience it’s the superior FM8 synth even being about 11 years old now. If you get into making money from your work Komplete is one of the best value buys you can make. I started with K6 and upgrade every couple years. 🤞maybe NI will sponsor something one day lol Btw if learning ways to make a living off of your music is something you’re interested in I’m launching a course on it in February warriorsound.co.uk/warriorsound-course-landing Limited to 100 people but will cost as il be investing huge amounts of time into everyone.
Is it me or does the Waves Flow Motion kind of suck. I find it to be thin. The sequence stuff is interesting to noodle with. The Sound quality really falls short for me. Spend your money on a better Synth. I still prefer FM8 .
Do you have any tracks with the Flow Motion. Have you heard any well produced tracks with that plugin. There are some things I like about it. Maybe I need to spend more time programming it. Actually UVI Falcon has a pretty good FM synth as well.
It’s only been out a few weeks. I will with out a doubt be using it though as I very much like it’s “pure ness” I’ve never tried the UVI synths although I do follow what they are doing.

I use a Komolete Kontrol keyboard and NKS plugin version. This maps every control to the keyboard so it’s easy to knob twiddle.

No clue. I’ve only been using it with NKS though. Try waves support before the close up over Xmas, they’re usually pretty helpful

😆 I’m assuming you have tried in FM8 many classic DX sounds have been remade in that. I personally don’t have the patience for recreation with it

I'm sure the EDM guys all bought this plugin just for the Snapshot Sequencer.
For $29 it’s a freakin’ barging however you look at it.
@@Unders currently trying to workout how to assign presets to each of the snapshots, at the moment it clears the sequencer whenever i switch patches
