May i ask you sth? He talked about futures markets throughout his entire video. But only a small fraction of bitcoin traders, trade futures right? I mean... Perpetual contract trading, is what everybody does right? So what relevance does futures trading funding rates have in relation to the much bigger perpetual contract trading markets? How do they relate to one another? Thank you

Appreciate the video! A lot of questions tho! First question is: You talk about funding rates in connection to the futures markets! Futures trading is completely different to perpetual contract trading right? So how do the futures market relate to the perpetual markets?

Whats the difference between PREDICTIVE and "regular" FUNDING RATE indicators?
regular funding rate is the acctual funding rate that you can see on the exchange, while the predictive looks at what should be the next funding rate. The biggest difference is that same as inflation you try to ease in and ease out with the regular one, so it acts slower in comparison to predictive one. I am just making a video on this topic, and will expand on some things in this video :)
