Hi everyone, in this episode we will explore and walking through Offenbach am Main.
Offenbach am Main is a city in Hesse, Germany, on the left bank of the river Main. It borders Frankfurt and is part of the Frankfurt urban area and the larger Frankfurt Rhein-Main urban area.
During the Second World War a third of the city was destroyed by Allied bombing, which claimed 467 lives. With the new district Lauterborn the city was expanded to the south in the 1960s. On the border with Frankfurt, the office district Kaiserlei was built. Offenbach is a so-called ´Sozialer Brennpunkt`(= multiple social problems area) because of unemployment, poverty, gang related crime and migration.
Offenbach has a large non-German population. In 2016, foreign nationals made up 37% of the population. The largest communities are, in that order, from Turkey, Greece, Romania, Poland and Italy. According to census data, Offenbach and Duisburg had the highest share of Muslim migrants of all German districts in 2011.

nice video ❤❤❤U-965 was commanded by Kapitänleutnant Günter Unverzagt. He was in charge of the submarine during its final patrol when it was sunk by HMS Wessex and HMS Rupert on March 27, 1945. Unfortunately, as you mentioned, all 51 crew members, including Unverzagt, perished in the sinking. Ich kenne Offenbach von Ende 60er bis Ende 80er. Meine Großeltern haben im Nordend gewohnt. Ich war zuletzt 2010 dort. Das was ich in diesem Video sehe ist nicht mehr “mein Offenbach” nur noch seelenlose Betonklötze. Tja wie überall. Die Menschen akzeptieren es. Schade
