A brief conversation with the Mud Duck in the Desert

- LET THIS BE KNOWN.... I videoed this before the feud between MMM, D-Rail and Mud Duck. This video is about a contact made DX. It promotes MY Channel and MY hobby. Nothing else. There is no need to dislike my video because you dislike Mud Duck. Enjoy the hobby and Happy DXing!! While testing a gifted Cobra 29 LX Max, I made contact with the Mud Duck. I should have keyed the camera then, but I wanted to be sure to secure the contact so..........
Some say mud duck is still talking
I heard him about two weeks ago.
I hear him every damned day in every damned state. Annoying as shit.
He never hushes. Annihilates 27.185 nationwide.
Can’t even squelch him out.
@@Samuel-I Yes, it is ridiculous. And he thinks anyone would believe that this comes from a radio transmission only. BS!!!! Thanks for watching and commenting. ✌
He's always on. Heard him last Friday in Joplin, MO.
I hate mud duck with a passion. He’s all I hear in NC and routinely messes up my communications broadcasting during busy hours on 19. Im a proud CB Hall of Shamer by his own account lol
Yeah when I recorded this, I only knew of him by a previous video I had done with him months earlier and he wasn't playing his games then. Thanks for watching and commenting. ✌✌
I do too. Wish he would go to another channel and talk. Some of us really would like to turn on the radio and not hear him.
i hear the guy here in canada it's so annoying
Mudduck is a great a pain for everyone
I would just like to know who really fixes his radios because he doesn’t
This station is particularlly strong we can sometimes hear his signal leaking across the Atlantic here in the UK.
It's rumored upwards of 10,000 watts but I couldn't say that is fact and it could be more. Thanks for watching and commenting. ✌✌
That is absolutely nuts. I sometimes hear him up here in Nova Scotia, nearly 3900km away from where he supposedly broadcasts from. In this area I can usually catch signals from all along the eastern seaboard of the USA down to Puerto Rico. Nothing farther west than Arkansas. But by Jesus this guy's signal comes in as strong as can be, and like others have said, you'd think he was right next to you. 3900km distance. Absolutely mental.
When you're running ham radio gear and a 2kw amp you can do that.
Someone needs to cut his coax.
why can't you stay off channel 19? There's hard working drivers that shouldn't have to turn off their radios because you wanna play around all day with your jibbersh. How about a little respect and take that noise to a different channel? Respectfully
I 100% agree with you. If you listen to the video, I had just "tested" a radio I had just received and I did it on 19 because I live near a truck stop and I knew I could get an accurate test. It just happened that Mud Duck replied to me and not taking a chance of missing the connection again I put my "tried and true" radio in line to catch the video. Again, this was before he had started the whole tie up issue and the feud that ensued. I work with the logistic community in my day job so the last thing I want to do is make their jobs more difficult. Thank you for your reply and concern
I whole heartedly agree with this. I can hear mud duck here in Alabama, and mud duck has no respect for the guys who got his radio to his local radio shop.😊
It's called "citizens band" for a reason...
Why not just go to a different channel? There's like what 20+ channels u can use most of them
@@MrSonic935 Anybody can use any channel they choose to. Most truckers don't even use a c.b radio nowdays anyway.
Anytime I turn on my CB, I hear Mud Duck. May only be a little bit, but I always hear him
Unreal ✌✌
I wish he would say off 19 so I can hear other trucks around me. He’s going to get someone killed when they can’t hear traffic is stopped over the next hill.
Still a goin to this day heard him all the way up in Bangor Maine. I could only imagine how the southern states he was coming in. Luckily I could squelch him out.
I can receive him down here in Northwest Florida clear as day and I have a stock uniden radio with a little dinky antenna.
North of Tampa he was coming thru my damn truck speakers. Really good conditions for long range last night was picking up random stuff from all over but he was far and away the loudest
Is it possible to setup a long distance setup in a semi truck with normal antennas? I have dual firesticks on mine, considering upgrading to dual K40 antennas i just wannna know if something like that would be possible and if i could alterate between long and short distance?
The Firesticks are good antennas as well as the K40s but I don't know that I would change to the K40s if the Firesticks are still working fine.. You can talk skip on any radio set-up, you just need the conditions. That said, the more power you have the better you will get out but if you have a good radio and antennas you should be fine. If you were to get a linear for more power, you can always turn it off and still talk so that would give you the short and long distance. If you were to decide to get a linear, be sure to have someone, if you're not familiar with the process, set it up for you so nothing is damaged in the process. ✌✌
@udx-483muddbucket5 my major worry is about the FCC licensing and the fact they don't want CB modified. I'm kinda iffy on that whole thing, and how far I'd be able to get with a CB, and would I be able to swap between the CB and a 10m
@@ponypowertrucking Again, you can get out great with a CB radio and a properly tuned antenna. As far as the 10m radios, the only way you can operate them legally is to get a Ham Radio Operators license. The only thing with this is you will only be able to talk to other Ham Radio Operators as CB operators aren't allowed to transmit on the 10m band and Ham Operators typically don't come to the 11m band for any other reason but to harass CB operators, much like the operator that brought you to my channel. I probably haven't helped you much with your decision as of what to do but, whatever you do, keep in mind that it's a tool for work for many and a really enjoyable hobby for as many if not more. I hope all goes well for you and thanks for reaching out. ✌✌
@@udx-483muddbucket5 I appreciate the info, I'm just relatively new to the stuff and trying to navigate it all and what I should do and if I should get into the Ham as well. It's all a little bit confusing
@@ponypowertrucking Yeah, I get it. I would stay with the CB for a while and see where that takes you. If you're using it in the truck, the CB will be more usable and if you really enjoy it you can branch out into the Ham field but I don't suggest it until you play a little while. Ham equipment is expensive and just like every other toy, you don't get what you have in it back if you get rid of it. I can try and help from afar if you have questions. Good luck and maybe we'll catch you on the air someday. ✌✌
Cool stuff
Thanks, I really enjoy radio time
Cant wait until this cycle is over. Already tired of desert mud duck plugging everyones ears up.
Yeah, it's crazy though. He's getting through when no one else is. I guess he has that much power.✌✌
By the way, nice Pete.
Thanks. Wish I still had it. Sold 2014
It sure nice on 10 meter though, a lot less idiots, better legit equipment and oh legal amps!
He's a want to be technician you don't know a damn thing
I actually just recently got into the hobby but hearing this guy constantly put down other people just makes it so discouraging.
Unfortunately there are a lot of people that make this hobby questionable but you have to just turn the channel away from them and continue. If your not driving for a living channel 19 is not the place to be unless your just looking for an audio check or something along that line. CB operator participation can vary from area to area but usually if you roll through the channels you'll find some locals but then again, you may have to talk to them a few times before they warm up to you. It really depends on the area. The main thing to know and keep in mind, there are a lot of good people on the radio that will really go out of their way to reach out and help you figure things out along the way but as with anything else, use your instincts to keep yourself from being exploited. Ia will be glad to help answer any questions I'm able to or give advice along the way if you reach out and don't hesitate to do so. Thanks for watching and I hope you have a long journey with your new hobby. It can be a lot of fun. ✌✌
@udx-483muddbucket5 Thanks for getting back to me. One last question I don't wanna take up your time. What other channels besides 19 can I use then?
@@mikeofwar2684 Roll through the channels. If you hear someone, give them a shout. Keep in mind, they won't always hear you and in some cases, yes, maybe even ignore you but don't give up. There are a lot of people out there. ✌✌
For those that say it is citizens band for a reason and say that the trucker's could go to another channel if they don't like it, the problem is, the truck drivers that do use the CB, go to channel 19 and the only reason that mud duck goes to 19 is because he knows that's the only place that he'll be heard with all of his nonsense.. he has nothing positive to add to any discussion.. it's the same jibber-jabber all day... He claims that he is going back to the bench about three hundred times a day, but he is back within 30 seconds, so how does he even get any work done?.... Yes, his radio sounds amazing, and yes, what an accomplishment to be able to be heard all over America in probably other countries as well... But like I said, the biggest problem is that that is all he wants is to be heard...
He does need to keep it down on 19 and he talks mad shit. He does do good work and I'd buy one from him. But I don't do Facebook and that is how you contact him for business.
@@cheifreal I sincerely doubt he does any work... He says he's going back to the bench about four times every minute.... But yet he comes back from the bench almost immediately... So tell me, how much work is he actually getting done if all he's doing is flapping his lips..... And honestly, I would not want a radio that works like his... Why would I want everybody across America to hear the conversation I'm having with the person that is a mile away?... I would not want a radio like that... I would not want to be irritating like that....
@@cablanchette1- You won’t have to worry about being heard all over the country if you don’t use a massive amp like he does. No way… no possible way he is being heard from coast to coast like that with one of his “fine tuned” radios without an amp in line. I’m throwing out the bullshit flag if that’s what he claims. I want to see a live feed of him on the air, live video of his radio, feed line and antenna while he’s on the air if I’m to believe he’s only operating one of his radios.
Nobody cares that his radio can be heard all over the place except for him Get a life Very annoying
he sounds sort of great cause he is running a Ghost rider tube amp putting out 10 K plus and bashes everyone who works on radios but he only sells new radios and to get a new radio you have to jump thru hoops and wait a year to get one and its massively overpriced mud duck for a reason mobile cb shops move around for a reason!!!!!!!!!!!
The strongest station I ever heard as motormouth Mall by far the strongest and the best
I got lucky and talked to MMM one time on channel six "The Bowl". Don't know how I pulled it off but it happened. Thanks for watching! ✌✌
@@udx-483muddbucket5 yea mmm gets out, but when he is in the noise it's hard to make him out. Hard drive sounds good and clear when down in the noise and he runs much less power. The mud duck running very clean radio where mmm is running wide band and signal is a bit dirty. I'd go with whoever builds the cleanest radios and keeps the standard bandwidth therefore putting more power on frequency getting you out further clearly.
@@cheifreal Thanks for watching and commenting.✌✌
Much less power? He runs a big ghost rider amplifier and lies and says he is barefoot. Just a crook
Motor Mouth Maul is a class act and what a Great Station. The BEST on 11 meters. He makes Dead Duck sound like he’s transmitting with a Dixie Cup and Kite String.
I talk to him often ..he bashes others ,but is knowledgeable
This was just before he started locking down 19 and before his feud with the other shops.✌✌
Yes ... I hate that he is that way..because he could do better
@@justinruth9729 Yeah, as you see in the video he was as nice as could be. I was actually testing the Cobra LX when I talked with him the first time with no camera so I dashed in and grabbed the camera and hooked up the RCI to make the contact video. I didn't want to take any chance of missing him. ✌✌
He don't know shit from puddy. That's why all his windows fell out
I hear Mud Duck most of the time here in the mountains of WV
It just doesn't make good sense. ✌✌
Mud duck is all over here in Alabama
Unreal. ✌✌
Yo I hear you all day here in Ohio on my cb actually it's mm mud duck
I hear mud duck everyday in Indianapolis, IN. His voice is so clear I thought he was in the truck next to me lol. What a legend
Yeah, you can hear the audio I got. I was floored when he replied to me. I was testing a Cobra 29 LX MAX that was given to me on channel 19 because I live about a mile from a truck stop and he replied. Of course I didn't have my camera going because I wasn't trying for skip so I regrouped and didn't want to take the chance of missing him on the second round and went with my RCI. This was right before he started the lock down games and has turned out great for my channel but I don't agree with anyone doing it. People get mad and cause issues but in the long run it comes right back. Sorry for the drawn out story but, thanks for watching and commenting. I hope you enjoyed and I hope you return. Thanks again. ✌✌
What makes him a legend?
@@-OPPORTUNITYBARN- because he clearly has the best radio around. I travel the Midwest and hear him everywhere I go. Nobody else can get that type of range
@@2ez87 How though...legally?
@@-OPPORTUNITYBARN- I’m not sure. But I legit hear him at 4pm every day no matter what state I’m in. It’s crazy. And it sounds like he’s in the truck next to me
that desert guy is an ass, ties up 19 with that crap got the boot
Lmao I’ve always wondered who that was talking alllll the time😂
Yeah, Crazy for sure. I don't know exactly what triggered him but about two weeks after this video he went full blown "KEY DOWN". As you can hear in this video, he was easy going, cordial, a pleasure to talk to but now if you get a word in at all, it's because he picked you out of the rest and he will do that from time to time. Thanks for watching and commenting. ✌✌
Back to the bench 😂
In a straight jacket.
Heard him yesterday in Ohio. It's only because of a Facebook post that I figured out it's not a local driver, which led me here
I'm glad you found it and came to watch. I hope you enjoyed. Come back anytime of course. We appreciate it. ✌✌
I hate long goodbyes 😂
I know right
The issue is he’s Freebanding the FCC needs involved.
He's not Freebanding but he is blocking the frequency. "Freebanding" is utilizing the unused frequencies adjacent to the designated 11 meter frequencies but yes, the FCC probably would be involved if they had the man power and he were interfering with commercial broadcast. ✌✌
@@udx-483muddbucket5 he is Freebanding because I’ve isolated one of the repeater on the tower where us st rt 70 and Ohio 142 intersect.
I go everywhere in the state of Ohio the Ham community is gonna start losing there network if they don’t get his pre recorded loops on a shorter leash.
PaPaBear from Texas with the wave maybe we spoke
Yes indeed we did. Glad you came over and took a gander. Here is the link to yours. Thanks again. ✌✌ruclips.net/video/JSLVRnM4YlU/видео.html
Back to the bench 🥴🥴🥴🥴
A year later he's still active on 19
Yeah I don't know what happened with him. As you can hear at this time he was as nice as can be and wasn't causing any trouble. Thanks for watching and commenting ✌✌
God I hate that guy.
Does mud duck have a RUclips channel
Yes, Fine Tune CB Shop. Thanks for watching. ✌✌
We need a mud duck fan club. We got to get some splatter boxes 📦
Back to the bench. Keep rolling and strolling, safety first on those highways and byways. It's always the sexual deviants with the splatter box.
Hear him everyday up in south eastern Ohio 😒
I heard mud duck in kentucky
He's started going up to 38 LSB on the weekends when 19 is slow and play his games. He actually told me I was breaking the law by recording people and sharing it. lol ✌✌
@@udx-483muddbucket5 heard him again toaday in ocala florida on 75 nortg
No radio on earth is as clear and as far reaching. He’s gotta know something. He adds to the culture of truck driving. Always crank him up. Funny as hell. The rest of you get a damn sense of humor. Too sensitive.
If you find him funny ? I don’t even know what to say to that…..damn sad
He say 3 fuckin things all day long every damn day. Splatter box, window licker, and back to the bench. It isn’t funny or cute when you work in a truck for a living and channel 19 is necessary to your living. For real, fuck this guy
Why are so many of these people with quality radios or base stations such a disrespectful group of people? Harddrive himself professes to be a church going Christian, yet I wonder how his church would feel if they listened to his rhetoric every day on the radio. It is self proclaimed Christian's like this that have kept me out of church for so many years.
Some of us are trying to work out here, and the last thing we need to listen to is a bunch of grown men arguing like children every time we talk on the radio. Please, give us a little respect and change channels. I am completely positive that if your radios are as good as you claim, then they have more than one channel.
Thank you
I don’t believe mark is a believer. I mean the dude has been ripping people off with his “fine tuned” radios, and many cases taking people’s money and not sending radios out…. He also was under investigation by the New Mexico attorney general over that kind of stuff.
Heard mud duck yesterday in new york!
Yeah, I heard him too. If this video didn't have the attention it's gotten, I would delete it just because of his antics. Total inconsideration for the "fellow" operators.
@@udx-483muddbucket5 hit the nail on the head
He stays on 19 putting down others to make himself look better “ Isn’t working “ Disrespectful to truckers and He’s such a Nerd “The guy at the CB radio store doesn’t act like that” Give it a break “
Thanks for watching and commenting.✌✌
That guy is a mental case. Clogs up 19 with his crap. 19 is for the drivers.
your on the trucker channel right !!!! useing 1000s watts right !! and heres the proof hard drive blocking 19 again and again
This video was done before Hard Drive was causing problems on 19. I'm guessing you're referring to Hard Drive running a thousand watts because if you're referring to me you are incorrect. If you listen to the video you will hear that I was testing a radio and I live near a truck stop is why I tested on 19. Furthermore if you look at the length of the video it is no longer than any other radio check done by any other radio user. I work in the logistics community so if you want to point fingers, find the right person to point at.
@@udx-483muddbucket5 hardrive has been messing with truckers for years !!! 3 to 4 years ask around dude so you dont run a amp you run 4 watts ? ok thats cool then then its not you i was saying but you shure came to the defence quick ....
so you do know hard drive runs 10,000 watts amp that ghost rider built ..
and mmm taught him how to use it ..
peace god bless breaker
@Sam Jones I honestly don't have a clue what Hard Drive has nor is it my concern. I do videos on contacts and was not looking for this one, it happened. I don't agree with what he does nor do I do it. Look at my videos and you won't find my radio tuned to 19. Am I glad I did, Hell Yes. Look at the views. It's been great for me. I'm not trying ti cause trouble or be an ass to you. I appreciate your input and your comments.

Thanks for watching.✌✌
Stay tf off chnl 19. Yall consistently talk about professionalism while taking over an EMERGENCY ch. Ch19 and ch09 are for emergencies
I do believe you need to review the listing as channel 9 is the listed Emergency channel for the US but really isn't utilized anymore. As far as channel 19, it was utilized by the trucking industry for nearly 50 years before Falling off tremendously due to 10 meter radios and cell phones. Channel 19 and CB radios are rebounding thankfully. Now, addressing my video, I was testing a radio on channel 19 because I live a mile from a major truck stop and I knew I would be able to make a contact if the radio was indeed working and the contact I made happened to be Hard Drive. One more note, this video was recorded about two to three weeks prior to him falling from his bench and beginning the trouble he is now famous for. My video is merely just another video of a contact I made on my CB radio that has now gotten a lot of attention because of his antics. Thanks for watching and commenting. ✌✌
