I still have one that I bought my daughter when they came out. I still use it today and listen to it while cleaning or walking. It has so many old songs on it and brings back memories of riding in the car and singing with my daughter. I was blessed and lucky I had a car that it plugged in to the auxiliary. Those were the days😊
I still love downloading my favorite songs than streaming them. Its the best way to always have your songs wihtout needing an internet connection all the time.
I just looked through my old boxes and found this i pod its in perfect condition with no damage and it still works surprisingly, i havent used it for 11 years
I use mine weekly at work. I bought a silver one about 5 years ago, the charge is still really good in it about 8 hours. When I got it, it was scratched up a bit, it was on the ugly side of things. So I ended up etching tiny leaves all over with a needle made it pretty 😁
@@chandlermerritt2168 sure do, you need a computer to add music. Download iTunes to your pc or Mac. Then on the top menus you should find an option to add one file, or folders of music. It makes a Library for you in iTunes. Then you plug in the iPod, only then you can sync music to it. Hope this helps. 😊 cheers!
I've lost mine probably 10 years ago now, and I'm still suspecting it's stuck somewhere inside my car's center console (after the 4WD selector cover knob broke off exposing a hole). I doubt that for whatever ridiculous reason the iPod nano or my old flash drive for that matter would be there, but hopefully one of these days eventually I'll take apart the center console in hopes of maybe finding this. Playing Vortex with D.B. Walker's Arc Of The Noid music was one, if not the most surreal amazing experience I've had during my childhood.

Same here, I use mine every single day. Got mine (8 Gb model) for free from a friend in 2010. 8 gigs is plenty of capacity and the battery is still in very good condition, 8 hours of playback time is not a problem. I wish Apple were still responsible today and kept making technology that stands the test of time as well as the 3rd gen Nano.
I recently found a 4gb silver 3rd gen, no radio no bluetooth. 1.6gb of music. Hoping to get iTunes working to add music. There's just something cool about not being connected to the web constantly.
I still like using dedicated mp3 players for music. They sound better than a phone. The batteries last longer than a phone and in most cases they are smaller and easier to use than the phone

The best nano with scroll. It dropped in heavy rain with screen dead. At that time we didnt had apple service centres( i dont even know if the apple stores were even started or not).

Yeah the 3rd gen nano is extremely hard when it comes to taking the stainless steel back off. The soldering part is easy..its just a lot of battery replacement videos will make it seem easy cause they've already taken it apart beforehand..1st time round it can be a pain. 2013? oh the 5th generation touch..the one with the press out lanyard ring at the back. Sure, glad you enjoyed the videos. I do post loads of iPod and mobile content regularly.
My folks gave me a $200 Circuit City gift card for my birthday, and I knew I wanted an MP3 player. I originally bought a Sansa, but it was junk. I returned it and bought the Nano 3rd gen and it was love at first sight. Got a ton of usage for two years when I then upgraded to the 5th generation. I love this little device.

Especially when I go out for a run it's hard to fit my Samsung galaxy in my pocket, preventing it from falling out, or changing songs while I'm at it. The small iPod with that click wheel makes it so much easier, and I don't stream now anyway so it's perfect

I got mine free when I opened a bank account back in like 2007 I guess it was. It was so awesome, that I continued to use it after I won a 7th gen nano at my work. The 7th gen battery was kinda shitty, so I'd always go back to the 3rd gen. Well, long story short, I got hooked on BT devices and the gen 7 became my mainstay. But in the beginning, the 3rd gen battery would waaaay outlast even the new gen 7. I did miss the scroll wheel for a bit. Still using my 7!

@@kristin2112 you need to download itunes on your pc/mac. Then you open itunes, drag and drop your music on the library folder and finally you connect the ipod to your computer with a cable and press “sync”.

I never had an iPod Nano at all. I got the 3rd gen from Mercari and it came in the mail on Thursday. It’s amazing. I love the wheel and the game on it called Vortex.
as a collectable, I still have an iPod touch 1st generation on iOS 1.1.5 also released that same year 2007. Still works fine, however you wont go far with the internet on iOS 1.1.5. Still good for listening to music with headphones or through a dock.
mine has a great battery life. it lasts longer than my phone! I don't need to charge it that often. I got it new and have never had a battery replacement. Could that be because it was in storage for quite awhile?

Ahh yeah the heat in the car may have caused the battery to overheat and fry...it prolly still works, just the battery needs replacing
