In case anyone wonders where the money is gonna come from to fund anything like these mega projects. Then just keep in mind that the US easily funded 2 trillion to try and then fail to conquer Afghanistan over a 2 decade period. Thanks.
Personally, I think that someone somewhere have already built an underwater city. Concepts like these have been around for decades and based on how secretive our government is, I would not be surprise that there are cities beneath the sea.
besides you do not have to go hundreds of meters underwater for it to be considered and underwater city. Just go down to depths that normal materials can withstand without being crushed.
There is always balance in nature. Let's not worry about Her Majesty!!! She herself will regulate everything she needs to and she has many ways to do it - storms, fires, floods, earthquakes, volcanoes, hail, snowfalls and pandemics.... Let's not interfere with God's work - by remaining unemployed for sure he will be very angry and will sweep us all from this earth...And as for the cities under water, it will not be easy to adapt a person to such a kind of life. It will certainly take centuries until our gills open... Anyway - fiction is fiction.
