This is sick, more people should watch this. Makes me wish if they could've adapt this kind of story into the game by completing arcade, quest or story mode I guess. Literally in any form like maybe character bios, an ending CGI cutscene lasting 2-3 mins of good story for each characters or they could just make manga/visual novel for us to read about the characters.
