Thanks to the LHT team. You guys did a great job on my car from Ohio. And extra thanks for featuring my car in your video. I love it. For two days after I got home to Ohio, I left the hood up in the garage so I could go out and look at the nice clean engine bay. I can really feel the improvements now that I'm on familiar roads. The tune is awesome. The car just pulls and pulls with no drop off. (3rd and 4th!) I never felt upsold at all. I can feel every dollar in the drive. Whenever someone asks why I drove all the way to Florida to have work done on my S2K, I'll show them this video. You're the best. See you at the dragon. Rob
Thank you so much for the kind words Rob, we really appreciate hearing from our customers. I’m so glad you’re happy with the results and the car feels and looks better. Some don’t realize how much passion we have for this, must considerate just marketing. We treat the customers car like we one hour car to be trapped. It’s pretty basic but very important at the same time again, thank you so much for chiming in. Will see you at the dragon.
@@LHTPerformance I'll be 48 this year, and used to have an annual subscription to Honda Tuning magazine, before the internet, back when magazines were still a thing. John I owned a 2000 S2000 for 18 years. Bought it with 13,000 miles and sold it at 214,000. I loved that car!! 2 kids later I bought a Mercedes. I appreciate your passion for Honda and hope to one day visit you guys in Florida while on vacation. Thanks!!
@@naturalsr405 Yep. What a piece of crap. It wouldn’t stick at all so I had to use a little (tiny amount) of super glue in places. All in all, it looks great but it was a huge pain.
Those bumper top bolts look like the same shoulder bolts with rubber seals used on the USDM Integra front bumper across the top. 90130-SR2-003 bolt with rubber, or 90104-SR2-003 for the bolt by itself.
So wild, i make the comment to my wife all the time that im leary where we take the s, since if the top gets slashed i got to drive it to you guys in florida. We are in cincinnati 😅
Worth the trip! I have an after market too on mine since I bought it. It’s too tight closing and leaks. Can’t wait for it to “need” to be replaced by LHT!
Ohio! maybe i’ll see it around! we have Jaxwax up here, local company, great products. maybe they have a s2000/honda enthusiast watching that’ll hook yall up!
Hi Guys based in the Isle of man so dont have any good soft top specialist near me. I would just like to know if a complete replacement with soft top frame from a later AP2 will fit my 1999 AP1 as buying a complete unit seems like a better option. Thanks alot i really enjoy your content
John, you ever have any stock rear struts laying around for an AP1 that are in good shape after you do an aftermarket coil over swap? If so, I’d be interested in buying them off you….Mine are slightly leaking apparently.
I also have a stumbly idle, and the car will sometimes die when reversing and then clutch-in to go to first. It's like the revs drop and then the engine just stalls out, not a clutch thing, cause the clutch is in at this point. So it's the injectors?
@@LHTPerformance Thanks LHT. I keep meaning to do the AP2 retainers, keep putting it off because of the weather. Already have all the parts. Guess I should get around to it!
Hello LHT Performance! Im hungaring for persons that are as precise and thorough as you are! Unfortunately ive experiencing all the time, that people dont like me often because im like that. Its anoying to them ect.....But I dont care cause I know its a good thing. So as a guy that is so precise and therefore i can imnagine you are cautious too, I want to ask you if its save to wash the engine bay? Cause ive read so much opinion from never do it to its ok no worries. Please tell me the experinece that youve had in your long journey of repairing cars. Thank you!
As I show in the video, washing the engine is fine. I’ve done it for 30+ years on all my Hondas. Let the engine dry before starting and don’t spray it close. I don’t use extremely high pressure as you’re using the water and air pressure remove the dirt.
@@LHTPerformance Thanks for answering! But how about the electronical parts? If some connectors arent 100 % well connected....isnt the water reaching in? Some said they always cover the generator with plastic bag.... What your thoughts about things like that? And by the way! Do you have a video on what to look for when you buy an s2000? Or can you please tell some important things to look out for? Cause in the next couple of months im propably buying one. Would be great!
Anybody in the tampa area selling any 90’s Hondas manual? Looking for something that runs and drives, hatch or coupe, Acuras are also something im looking for. Willing to spend $2,500. Lmk!

I’ve been pressure cleaning engines 30+ years. I need to watch a video about it. Honda uses weather pac connectors and everything is dried out. There’s a right and wrong way to do it.
Ahh, I see. Just made me cringe a bit cause I really have no experience with it besides what good ol' Scotty said. But I respect your experience and expertise 👍

It almost seems like the tea bit with the sugar was a reference or tribute to Bad Obsession Motorsport. Except they’d never use a microwave 😅
