Thanks for this. I'm moving to Florida within a couple hours of Sebring. I have recently prepared my 4th Gen Camaro for track days and autocross and can't wait to drive Sebring.
Hey man thanks the info. This Joaquín from the autocross days in the nineties. I remember the wonderful autocrosses we used to have with Shields, Chiles and the rest of the gang. I finally got my license and raced on all the Florida tracks. Great fun. Nice to see you and still involved. God bless you
My favorite track. Did a three hour HSR Enduro in the rain, in an Austin Healy Spridget, with a five inch plexiglass window and no top. Took second place. Missed first by 3/4 lap. It's a rough track with some bad puddles, but FUN!!
Excellent video. I would like to drive the new track someday with my RSR. Too bad track modernization didn't follow the original 5.2 mile circuit. The old turn one was flat in 5th and presented a huge challenge especially at night since there was no track lighting. The old hairpin was much more difficult and the long North-South straight and Ulmann Straight were very fast, but extremely rough on driver and car. The new track looks much easier on driver and car.
Excellent tutorial. I'm racing Champcar at Sebring 2 days this month. I've never driven Sebring and won't get any practice laps before my stint! I should be interesting . . .
Hey I'm so glad they helped. It really is one of the world's great tracks. It was a real honor to be able to run there this past weekend. Nice to meet you as well!
@@claymobley1621 a couple years ago when I did the 14hr there with WRL there was several lights that lit up a couple spots that honestly weren’t that useful. After the hairpin I had into the slight right hander on muscle memory cause I was being blinded.
Great video J.G. 👍🏼 FYI - the exit wall material on 17 has changed as of October. I love this place and run so many great laps there. Will be back for night sessions there again in mid December with Chin
@@Grassrootsmotorsports shape looks to be the same, the blue/white material is now all black and taller (covering the tire stacks completely - up from ~36-48" to 60" now). The notch is still there before the bridge onto the front straight. LMK - I can email you a pic or some October videos on my channel for a look.
@@CAR3 Sounds like shape is pretty similar, but going to large black walls is going to change sitelines. Maybe drivers will be better off to site on the ground to see the exact shape of the wall.
Love it I like the data also I'm gonna do this soon so it's helpful to know what speeds I'm targeting around each corner not that my car can handle those speeds but it gives me an idea I wanna run my 92 Camaro 450ish hp with alot (not all) suspension mods
Why don't you have any Motec data? It would be much more informative if we could see you throttle, braking, speed and lateral g-forces as you go through the turns.
I wanna drive my 92 Camaro on the full course , i know i won't be the fastest butt i know I'll have the time of my life doing it and I'll get faster and faster every lap

This is sad, I'm watching this for tips so I can set a faster lap time on Forza 8.... being disabled means I'll never see a racetrack that isn't on a screen.
Great tutorial, thank you for posting this. Heading to Sebring today for Track Night in America so I ve been watching this for days.

"There is a lot of road undulations, a lot of three dimensional road activity going on" or just say there are BUMPS! haha 😆
I'm from Abania in the Balkans part of the planet and came here for the Sbring tutoial, so yeah it's a World famous race track 👍
This is the best tutorial I’ve seen. Thank you so much!
Really good
Hope to race there Nov ‘23

Great Sebring instructional clip. Very nicely done. Hope to do some track days there in early 2021.
Ditto. Planning on the event March 26th. If you see a lil 80's Porsche come and talk to me.

Great video. I wish this was out for me to watch before I did my WRL endurance race lol
You know I've never driven Sebring in the dark. I really need to try that someday.
Watching this for the WRL 24 Hour race this year. Supposedly they have temporary lighting for nighttime😅

@@Team82_DC2 good to know. We have night practice on Friday, as long as they don’t move the lights then, we’ll mark them and have a feeling for it.
Thank you Sir
Your welcome.
Outstanding, thank you.

Has the shape of the corner changed at all, or just the material?

Meant to say you are still involved 😂
Where did that car go that he was chasing down going into Turn 17 on the fast lap?
We'll cover that in our wormhole passing techniques video.

Are you mostly in 3rd and 4th gear on this track in an NC? Do you drop to second for the hairpin?

Yes! A few groups do track days here.
