I bought a brand new Wildax Europa so my tip is don't be impressed by the electrics on this one. Yes, It's good the lithium batteries and inverter but the quality of the van is very poor at a high price. If you look closely, the latches on the drawers are flimsy and break the drawers fly open and the mechanisms are weak. The very first day that I had my brand-new van I put the supports in to make the bed in the back and it broke as soon as I kneeled on it. I've now got a Hymer motorhome and it's a completely different league. These are not quality vehicles. I could give more details. Beware
@@MotorHomeBeepBeep So glad I read your comments thank you. Was really considering one of these, they're discounted from 99k to 90k and I was wondering who they're so much cheaper than pretty much all other Man conversions, many over £100k
Hi Nick, That is a nice piece of kit this Wildax Altair RS with some big Lithum batteries onboard en that big infurter great so gas is not needed my style of motorhome but also very nice length beds in the back for the bigger people a must Thank you Nick a great show 👍👍👍👍👍
Hi Nick……. We are building one at present, same colour 3.180 4x4 version (my Wife’s project), stealthy look from outside with big solar and battery storage ❤ Great platform to work from……. great tour as ever 🙂
I love this one. I especially like the solar aspect. As to the warning labels - are you certain this wasn't meant to be shipped to the States ? I thought we would be the only people that would require something like that. 🤣
I agree. Americans need warning labels all over the place bc of the horrid lawyers wanting to sue over every little thing. Broken system run by lawyers only to benefit lawyers I think. Nice van though, thank you for the tour.
We also get VW Crafters here in UK as well as the MAN. The Crafter is generally marketed as the leisure vehicle, for general public, while the MAN is usually thought of as the trade vehicle range.
Oh, off grid, solar power and probably the engine powering the lithium batteries. She well kitted out, she feels safe and comfortable for two people. Like her.
No extras with this price. I would add an heat pump ie an air conditioner unit. Also an omni antenna might be handy for the UK. Do like it. Shame it won’t come with All Terrain tyres. I’ve put them on mine. Grrrrrreat upgrade. Nice van. Wonderful. Does the battlers make it very heavy ?
300W from the roof is not very good, but great to see a manufacturer making a tiny step to all electric (enough amateurs do it already!). Nevertheless, even with the big battery packs, £99k for a campervan is plainly ridiculous. Just watched a vid of a guy going around the Motorhome Show looking for
If there is no gas why the carbon monoxide alarm? 😂 another great tour from Nick love these mini tours compared to the longer ones on the other channel 😉
A 3kw inverter is going to smash through battery capacity. What size batteries were they? Did you confirm whether the heater was dual diesel and electric?
It is dual diesel and electric, the solar panels are 400 watt, not 3 and lithium batteries though I think only one comes as standard, but may be wrong about that.
That solar is so under powered you might as well not bother. Its not an off grid vehicle! You need to be running the engine to charge, and that's a lousy way to generate electricity. I have a slightly bigger van with 800W on the roof, but you can have big skylights everywhere if you want power!
100k for a van with non flush windows (I hated these on VW T2 70’s panel van conversions) and looks like it should be sat on the side of the road or a motorway bridge catching speeders 😂
300W solar is not massive, not monumental, grand nor epic. It is underwhelming in certain conditions for a modern camper not in dreds, shari and not having showered like Steve Jobs did. But 3,6kW inverter is enough.
what a great vehicle , every thing you need in a camper this size, loved the corner lounge chair and fridge , very nice all-round

These are the best reviews from the people who actually own one and know of the problems thank you
Exactly and when you have a better quality product after it amplifies the poor quality @@Dangermouse27

I love the layout. Any recommendations for better company who can do similar?
Great size, clean & usable interior. All electric is cherry-on-top

Love the solar/rechargeable battery system, nice vehicle, thanks for the tour Nick.
Thanks for watching!
Pretty cool Nick. Like that one. Thx for showing us around it. 😊
No problem 👍
Lol so funny nick the warning don't drive the vehicle with the blinds shut ha ha

Sounds great! Hope it goes well. 🙂
Brilliant camper and video nick ⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
First thing on the lotto list . Not as big as a motor home and as a truck driver this is ideal for me home from home

Yep. "Contains Hot Liquid"!
🤣🤣🤣

Looks great. I wonder how the electric system will work in the winter months?
Definitely one of the better campervans.
That van is sold here in Mexico as a Volkswagen crafter, I find interesting to see same cars around the world under different car makers names

Cracking camper and a great review as ever 👍
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Lovely Nick, more likely 300 watts a panel on the solar
It could be, I'm far from an expert on solar power I'm afraid.
Great one Nick… small companies here in the US are custom building these out for exorbitant $$$$ some well over $200k
It is a nice peice of kit ,hence the price tag 🙌
Nice tour, and love it, but 99k! These campers are so expensive now!
Nice. But not 99k nice. The cost of these vans are ridiculous.
Love the move to all electric

It has cab aircon
I actually really like this one..
This a a great discrete motor home
Lovely van,, twice what i payed for my first house, but i supose its competitive when you look at the price of vw,s
very nice 😃

It's actually 400 watts of solar.
If there is no gas why the carbon monoxide alarm? 😂 another great tour from Nick love these mini tours compared to the longer ones on the other channel 😉
I thought the very same initially, I'm guessing perhaps for the diesel heater?
Possibility of exhaust fumes entering the accommodation if left running with the doors open.

Nice unit
of grid 300 watt solar 3 k inverter. dream on

Bit surprised to see a carbon monoxide alarm if there's no combustion cooking or heating, but I guess better to have it and never need it...
Good point, although I suspect it may have diesel heating, in which case it would make sense.
@@MOTAHOLICIt would. Still definitely a bit of kit I'd want anywhere I'm sleeping, could just be the best investment of your life!
100% agree!
It does have diesel /electric heating.
100k really ?
Yes leather seats your back side will be sweating in the summer
Leather seats are optional extra, no need to have them if you are not keen.
300W solar is not massive, not monumental, grand nor epic. It is underwhelming in certain conditions for a modern camper not in dreds, shari and not having showered like Steve Jobs did.
But 3,6kW inverter is enough.
It's actually 400 watts of solar, not 300 watts.
100k for a van conversion? Yes it's nice, but it's still a van conversion. That is well overpriced.
You would need to be seriously off your head to spend 100k on one of these. I do not see the value. Would much rather have a proper Moho.
Can you get proper moho at same price? And is is as daily usable as this is?
@@terot8341AND this is much better looking than a moho. 😉
Bathroom is a letdown for a van at this price point.
You want a vast, palatial bathroom, you pay with space as well as money. This one ticks all the right boxes for me.
Why is there a carbon monoxide alarm if it’s all electric? Genuine question.
Exhaust fumes I'm guessing. Leave it ticking over with the rear doors open and the wind in the wrong direction and...
@@MOTAHOLIC good point. Thanks Nick :)
@@WilliamHacknovAlso, the combi heater IS diesel as well as electric.
99 grand! Its a van for gods sake, massively overpriced!
If they start making off-grid living 'vans with laundry facilities then I'll be happy. Just one little niggle.
