Is Valya part of the lore because I own the Dune Encyclopedia (not the orignal but a reprint, duh) and as far as I could find (on a cursory flip through) she wasn't mentioned. Just curious, is she a new creation or is she in canon?
I was never a big fan of the Brian Herbert books but I hope this adaptation is faithful. Frankly I am rather uninterested without the Guild or the other schools like the Theilaxu or IX making some sort of significant appearance.

Frank's son did not write anything. They hired a mid-range writer and the son only cashed the checks.
