I had it, but sold it. My favorites from Xerjoff are still Starlight and Naxos. Starlight is phenomenal, it's the best cardamom based fragrance in the game.
Apparently I need to sniff Starlight. I'll be getting on that!

I agree with Naxos, I love it but I hate cardamom when it’s in your face like in Starlight. I can’t stand that one
1) Thank you so much for pronouncing his name properly. Sooooooo many reviewers do not. That drives me crazy. 2) The juice? One of my fav releases for 2021. I absolutely cant get enough of this stuff. OMS, it pulls something very unique which makes it very intoxicating to my nose. Not sure anyone else feels that way since I dont get many complements but who cares. I wear this one for me. lol

For me it was a love at first sniff...couldn't wait to get my bottle. Became my most worn fragrance last year. Also, I think if someone likes Chanel Coramendel and wants something darker, this is one to try.
did you just compare this to a Chanel? Oof well they both use pachouli but personally I don't think it's in the same league.
Good work. I heard rumor they will be doing several fragrances with these modern style of bottle inspired by musical bands or singers.
Makes all kind of sense with the success of this one.

I think it's one of the best releases of '22. Passion fruit is the first thing my nose picked up, along with some leather and rum. The patch isn't that strong to my nose. XJ is a fantastic house.
I do get the leather and rum for sure.
It's okay.I bought that bottle and the Signature Limited Crystal Edition,but that's because I'm a fan.

I'm surprised you didnt get passionfruit. It was one of the first things I smelt. I would highly recommend Torino21.

I'm a big Xerjoff fan, but I know what you mean about most of their best being a few years old now compared to their present, although I do really like this newer one, Starlight & Torino 21.

I will get a sample, as I said I'm not a big fan of the brand, but sounds interesting, from the fragrances that I saw it be compared in Fragrantica I really don't want to get more of the same, I have enough Gourmand, Boozy, Caramel fragrances to add another one with just a little twist, and there's also price issue, for a 50 ml it should be extraordinary. I like the bottle too, thanks for the unboxing Marc!!!
Pretty sure this caramel fad has been trickling into the designer realm too so it makes high end scents like this probably less and less unique.
it doesn't smell like any of the other fragrances its being compared to not even close lol
@@daniell5740 I heard it being compared to, PDM Herod, Carlisle, Stronger with you Intensely, Initio Side effect, Angle Share, PDM Oajan, 1 Million Prive, Tuxedo so its hard to really get a feeling of what this smells like when so many people say so many different things.. what do you think it smells like?
I'm surprised you blinded it given how much it costs, but then again I haven't seen testers of it much. My reactions are the same, although I was surprised as to how boozy-sweet it was as a fragrance and quite nice. I know you had told me previously that you don't get the passionfruit from this and neither do I; I think that representation is still great in Kajal Dahab (for me at least, that fragrance flourishes on me soooooo nicely). I think I really loved this Tony Iommi the first time I tried the sample, but afterwards I thought it was just very nice, just not one to run out and get right away...especially for the price, yowza! I've recently acquired a small 30 ml bottle of Dolce Amalfi and that has been great along with the Italica and Renaissance that I own. I want to get The Don next...you talk about a great whiskey fragrance, that one is veeeeerrryyy nice; whiskey, tobacco, and gunpowder like The Godfather himself was approached by a henchman in his office while smoking a cigar and he shot the henchman for botching a job. 😁

I have the same feelings about Tony Iommi, I purchased a new tester bottle after wearing it one day and I got it for 170$. Golden Moka and Starlight are my other 2 loves from Xerjoff. While I own a FB of the first one that I got for almost half the retail price, I am on the fence about purchasing the latter one; it's the cardamom for me😅
I hope my take changes on Tony this winter so we will see.
I have a decant of this one at the moment. First sniff reminded me of a swanky head shop(patch heavy). I’m digging it so far but the better half is not so into it so a bottle will not be in my future unfortunately. It is a good looking bottle though as you said.

Xerjoff is for the crowd, Amouage for trained noses, honestly I wouldn't give an Amouage over three Xerjoff perfumes

I quite like Monkey Special but I wish it was darker, with less sweetness and more black leather. I absolutely get the passionfruit off the top. It's very distinctive and mixing passionfruit with leather and patchouli is a creative idea. The caramel can be too much. It can veer into cloying territory. I'm wearing Laudano Nero today which is more up my alley but I'm glad I have the Xerjoff. It isn't a dark rock n' roll scent. It is opulent and sweet with some dark notes. I think the ingredients are of high quality. I think the best way to wear it is to dress it up. The opulence makes it a fancy, decadent choice with black formal clothing. Dapper goth if you will. The presentation is jaw dropping and I can't think of a more collectible bottle/box.

When you first try it it's not a wow but when you let it Macerate it turns into a love. Give it two months
I'm sure the maceration process of two weeks minimum was already done prior to me sniffing it but I'll be testing this one this year anyways and see if I get any differences.

Torino 21 was the last one that I wrote on my to-try list. People below seem to like Starlight as well. But this is a sample sample sample house for sure. I just blind bought it off Mercari for $145 the other day, hasn't been shipped out yet, smelled it in Neiman's today, sprayed it on my wrist, wasn't impressed at 1st sniff, as it stsrted to dry down i was digging it, but now when i keep putting it up to my nose to smell it, it smells very familiar like something i've smelled before but i can't put my finger on what it is, i know oud isn't listed in the notes but on my skin i'm starting to pick up that same ouddish vibe that i get from Layton Exclusif 🤷🏿♂️

@@robes08 aw man robes I gotta say it, my bottle came, got a chance to give it a full wearing, & man this thing goes thru some changes on skin, but in a good way, even smells good wafting off of clothing. I even kept catching big wafts of it smelling it thru the mask I was wearing, so it definitely has some umph, well at least my bottle does, It still has a familiarity to me, but I'm gonna spend some time with this beauty to see what it can really do, but for right now, I'm very much pleased so far, maybe that small spray that I did in Neiman's didn't do it any justice
I bought a sample wasn't too impressed maybe it will grow on me glad i didn't blind buy a big bottle based on other reviews

I like this one too, not a love but it’s nice. But it’s not unique. I’ve smelt similar frags many times before. I wouldn’t buy a full bottle.

The original Creation-E is hands down better, not sure about the parfum as I've not smelt it.
I think it's nice but I'm but I'm not one to wear this one out regularly in my opinion.

Initial impression vids are trash. It takes time to learn a fragrance and see how it evolves on skin. This is not a shot at you, everyone does them.
Initial Impressions vids are trash depending on the nose and the "influencer". I think many initial impressions can tell a good story but I do prefer a bulkier video on scents. I believe in mine as I do have so much experience within the game that I can give out good information.
@@robes08 But anyone doing the same thing is just judging the first 5 mins of the fragrance. My point is that's not helpful. Again, not a knock on you, everyone does them.
