How ironic that Leyland managed Barry Bonds and beat him in the playoffs in 1997.

What Wayne Huizenga did to his team was criminal. Huizenga is worshipped in Miami. I don't. He gutted a lot of teams. Not just in baseball but the Dolphins and Panthers too.

This would be a great video if Bob Costas had lost his voice

Marlins could've had a team that would've challenged and threaten the division winning streak the Braves were in the middle of in 1997 and for a few years...instead their owner decided to dismantle it completely as punishment to Floridians for not falling for his manipulation to get a stadium he wanted without his own contribution. In doing so he not only affected the franchise for years to come but he also destroyed whatever progress for developing a dedicated fanbase, even though they won yet another championship 6 years later (with a similar dismantle following right after).

He helped the Marlins win a WS and he quits and everyone gets traded.
