Actually, on second thoughts, the next words out of my mouth would be 'Sure, I'll hand you the keys once you put that in writing and give it to me.', and then 'Thank you, see you in court.'
At will employment. The company can fire him for any reason whatsoever, as long as it’s not protected. Someone can in fact complain to the manager and have you fired on the spot.

I read a news story about a granny who brought her grandsons to where his band was going to be playing, so they could try to get an autograph after the show and not only did they get his autograph, but Keanu Reeves played catch with the kids for a few minutes. He's such an awesome person.
That one that got fired for following the rules pissed me off! I hate that that OP didn’t sue.

Even with the few nasty people thrown in this video. This entire thing just melted my heart completely. I was not expecting the majority of these to be so wholesome given what the title of the subreddit is.

Tales fron retail don't always have to be horror stories. Sometimes they can be really heartwarming, because all kinds of people go to shops. ❤
I had a customer once want to just walk out with unpaid for gift card that her toddler son was "playing with". This same customer the same day got upset that I wouldn't exchange all the items she brought in even though only 3 or so of the 15+ she brought was on the receipt. She demanded the manager and I had the pleasure to inform her that in fact I was the manager on duty. So glad I'm not in retail anymore.

I experienced a wholesome moment once, where another customer and I chatted nicely while waiting to be served.
After he'd left, the server asked me if I wanted this cricket bat sized (slight exaggeration) piece if biltong (dried beef) as is or cut up into pieces.
I said I couldn't afford that, and besides I didn't order it.
She told me the gentleman who just left paid for it...
I was speechless and started to tear up. When I got to my car I had a good cry over the whole episode.
That was a rough period for my disabled mom and me, her then slightly disabled care-giver.
I have repaid that act of kindness in many small ways with the means at hand to help others who are short of cash.
That pay it forward thing really works.

What happened to that unfortunately person at the game store is called at-will employment. It's all over the U. S., and it should be banned by law, but it isn't.
And I don't believe it. A dog came up with a campaign that cats would completely agree with (a ban on vacuum cleaners).

Where your tongue rests in your mouth isn’t stress as much as what language you speak. English speakers keep their tongue on the roof of their mouth because we have lots of sounds/ words that require your tongue to be there. It’s been a while since I last saw it but I think Russian was an example of people who keep their tongue at the bottom of their mouth. It’s kind of like you’re just primed to speak.

I had something like this, I was going to get fuel and when I got there I put 11quid in, I had 10 and someone gave me extra pound at work, but when i went to pay I couldn't find it anywhere, she let me off the extra pound, After i pulled up to search the car for it, and couldn't find it anywhere, but i did have a can of pepsi i took to work and didn't drink, so i went back in to give her that as a thankyou, She was thankful for it, Then i dug in my pocket to check the washing a couple days later and there it was! No idea how i missed it, guess my pockets are voids to another dimension!

About the story with the lady trying to steal the other ones first I freaking was working with a company and had to get a hemp car delivering stuff but the temp car was actually a Mercedes S-Class I got one old man who was so indignant that he wouldn't let me go he called the cops and everything saying that this is stolen this I'm too poor for this vehicle and I'm just saying yes yes I am too far that's why I'm working get out of my way so I can work if you want to let me go cops came and he had to windshield smashed so I guess who got to pay for the windshield that was a $8,000 windshield lol although electronic gadgets that too I showed the rental receipt which I had to put in my name because company was getting me to drive it but they paid for it I ended up getting a Hummer after that
I locked my keys in my car a few weeks ago. We lock with the remote but my husband dropped me to work then dropped the car later and walked to work. When I got out of work, he was 2 hours away in his work vehicle so he couldn't come help. I was happy to pay the $80 though and I had another job later on where I made over $100 so there's that. My other job was 35 minutes away next county over.
